The injury to Tennessee Titans receiver Marc Mariani has put the Titans in a potentially bad situation at the position now. Before Mariani's injury, the Titans had five receivers they were comfortable with heading into the regular season, not counting Kenny Britt who is coming off a knee injury and could still hear from the league regarding a suspension from his eighth incident involving police. Now, with Mariani gone, the Titans need to know immediately if Britt will be available to them come Sept. 9 against New England, or if not, how long will he be suspended. According to TitanInsider.com, Britt's punishment is "still under review" by the NFL and no timetable has been set for a ruling. If Britt is not suspended, Coach Mike Munchak has said he probably could only play a handful of plays in the opener at most, but that's enough to get the Titans through the game as a fifth wideout behind Nate Washington, Kendall Wright, Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins.
