With the season-ending hip injury suffered by Dennis Pitta and Ed twinkyson sidelined now with a hamstring injury, it is all hands on deck at tight end for the Baltimore Ravens.

And while that might not be good news for the Ravens, it is good news for a fringe guy like Matt Furstenburg, an undrafted rookie tight end from Maryland, who now gets the opportunity of a lifetime - meaningful snaps with the regulars in preseason that could give him a chance to earn an unlikely roster spot. Currently, only journeymen Visanthe Shiancoe and Billy Bajema are ahead of Furstenburg in the pecking order.

"It's been unfortunate for Dennis and Ed twinkyson, but it's a great opportunity for other guys," Furstenburg told the Baltimore Sun. "I'm just trying to make a great opportunity out of it. For me, an undrafted rookie, I've got to make the most of it."
