Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier likes Benny Sapp's experience, and that's the key reason he won the primary role at nickel back. "And the fact that he's a lot more poised and composed with what he's doing, and much more aware of what we're asking at that position," Frazier said. "But probably his experience is the one thing that overtook some of the other guys that wanted to play that position. "He's had a great training camp and did a good job in the preseason games, and we're looking forward to him playing well this weekend." Frazier said, though, that there's an ongoing competition for the nickel job moving forward. Rookie Asher Allen will continue to push for playing time. Source: Rick Alonzo, twincities.com
