Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Wednesday that the team is not pursuing former Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher. Speaking on "NFL AM" this morning, Frazier said, "Brian has been a great player in our league for a long, long time. He was a thorn in our side for many years. At this point we want to look at the guys on our roster, give them a chance to compete for the middle linebacker position then we'll see where it takes us." There was a report on Tuesday which linked Urlacher to the Vikings. Source: The Redzone
He thinks his value is between $3-$5M and in actuality, it's probably the vet minimum with incentives. Until Urlacher can accept that, no ones going to be interested.
I was hoping that if Urlacher did not come back to the Bears he would go out of the division. Yeah he's lost a step but he is still dangerous. Don't need him playing the Bears twice a year with a vengeance, know what I'm saying?
I'm really not concerned about his 'playing with a vengeance'. Most if it will be between plays & in front of the mic...
