Vikings To Trade For Eagles QB Donovan McNabb?

Discussion in 'Minnesota Vikings' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jan 27, 2010.

  1. By trading for Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, the Vikings would basically be blocking Brett Favre from changing his mind and trying to return to Minneapolis. John Clayton said on ESPNEWS on Tuesday that the Vikings will make a play for McNabb if Favre walks away, he thinks that the Vikes might be willing to trade the No. 62 overall pick for McNabb. But the Eagles may be asking for a first-rounder.

Well whatever happens you can't be waiting until 3 weeks before the season to figure it all out.

Well you know Brett will drag it out that long, so the Vikings are going to have to make the executive decision before then.

I don't think the Vikings would think twice about what Brett Favre wants to do if they can find a way to land McNabb. It makes a lot more sense for the Vikings to sign a quality QB who they can rely on for the next 5 years than someone who may only decide to hang around for one more -- if he can ever come to a decision at all.
