The Bears did not make a play for veteran Donovan McNabb last week and did not discuss possibilities even after McNabb became an unrestricted free agent. But with Caleb Hanie turning in his worst performance as a starter or backup, and Josh McCown not deemed ready enough after more than a week of orientation with the offense, sources told CSNChicago.com that the Bears will be in conversations Monday about bringing the longtime standout with Philadelphia in as Hanie’s backup.
