NFL Super Bowl Fantasy Football Rankings

January 24, 2012 by Greg Brosh

UPDATED 1/30/2012 - Super Bowl Player Rankings

NFL.COM is extending the fantasy football season with their Fantasy Football Playoff Challenge and you can win Super Bowl Tickets. The point system and setup is just like fantasy football and you can use our playoff fantasy football rankings below to assist you with your line-up throughout the NFL playoff challenge, we will update them frequently.

The NFL regular season is over and we are now down to the last 4 teams who will be competing for glory in Super Bowl 46. This is an excellent cheat sheet to use if you have a playoff draft, which many do. Check back frequently for our updated NFL Super Bowl Fantasy Football Rankings.

We're breaking this down into two categories of rankings:

  1. Teams that you can only draft once per week, and you can only draft from an NFL team once during the playoffs.
  2. Rankings for straight up weekly NFL fantasy playoff drafts and the other various systems.

For those of you playing NFL.COMS playoff challenge here is my recommended line up.

NFL.COM Fantasy challenge Super Bowl Picks

  1. Eli Manning
  2. Ahmad Bradshaw
  3. BenJarvus Green-Ellis
  4. Wes Welker
  5. Hakeem Nicks
  6. Rob Gronkowski
  7. Stephen Gostkowski - Since Giants have stout Red Zone defense
  8. And of course the Giants Defense

Here are our Super Bowl Fantasy Rankings for straight up drafts and the other various scoring systems.

QB Super Bowl Fantasy Rankings

  1. Eli Manning - New York Giants (Eli is red hot and so is his defense, Brady is trending down after his poor performance against the Ravens.)
  2. Tom Brady - Patriots

RB Super Bowl Fantasy Rankings

  1. Ahmad Bradshaw - Giants
  2. BenJarvus Green-Ellis - Pats (Bradshaw is a safer pick but Ellis could have his number called more than normal, maybe he'll break one)
  3. Brandon Jacobs - Giants
  4. Patriots No. 2 when the Super Bowl inactives are out - Pick your poison with this one. Stevan Ridley was a healthy scratch in the AFC Championship Game due to fumble problems. That will leave Danny Woodhead and Kevin Faulk left to pick up the scraps. Either way, no one outside BGE is worth using.

WR Super Bowl Fantasy Rankings

  1. Wes Welker - Patriots
  2. Hakeem Nicks - Giants (He missed there last meeting, so he adds some surprise value)
  3. Victor Cruz - Giants
  4. Deion Branch - Patriots
  5. Mario Manningham - Giants

TE Super Bowl Fantasy Rankings

  1. Aaron Hernandez - Patriots
  2. Rob Gronkowski - Patriots
  3. Jake Ballard - New York Giants
