2010 NFL Draft Fantasy Analysis: The San Diego Chargers Grab RB Ryan Matthews

April 22, 2010 by Kurt Turner

The Chargers select RB Ryan Matthews from Fresno State, a bruising back who is not the traditional speedster that you are accustom to, but still, the Chargers now have a plug and play guy in Matthews.

Matthews does have speed on the outside, but will be more of a North South runner and could be a quality goaline back; something the Chargers could use, as well as your fantasy team!

As a junior in 2009, Mathews led college football in rushing with an average of 150.67 yards per game in 12 games.  He totaled 1,808 yards on 276 carries and 19 touchdowns.
