WR rankings in February may seem a bit early, but not so my friends. Each year the demand for early fantasy football rankings grows exponentially which is why I come to you today with a very early look at WR rankings.
This will be typical of what I do during the regular season. It will cover 50 receivers with a TON of salt to accompany.
Before I begin, I would like to discuss a few “disclaimers” pertaining to these rankings.
- The obvious mention is the fact that the free agent market won’t open until March. Keep this in mind as it will surely affect a few of the players mentioned here.
- I am including a small list of UFAs and RFAs for your benefit. In simple terms, players who don’t necessarily have their future decided yet.
- You may notice a few players ranked differently from the flock. These players are individuals that I feel may produce better than what the “consensus” believes. While I do not have the space here to explain a few of them, you are always welcome to inquire below for more TECHNICAL data as to why.
Sound good? OK, now let's sort everything out, shall we?
Contract data is posted as of February 5th, 2013. Contracts and individual player’s situations are subject to change, drastically and rapidly.
UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS (UFAs):
Brian Hartline, Miami
Danny Amendola, Rams
Greg Jennings, Packers
Mike Wallace, Steelers
Dwayne Bowe, Chiefs
Wes Welker, Patriots
RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS (RFAs):
Danario Alexander, Chargers
Victor Cruz, Giants
PLAYERS WHO FUTURES ARE CURRENTLY “VERY MUCH UP IN THE AIR”
Percy Harvin, Vikings
Mike Wallace, Steelers
Wes Welker, Patriots
Danny Amendola, Rams
Side Note: Rams signed the much troubled ex-Lions receiver Titus Young according to Jason La Canfora on Twitter. Danny Amendola has been pegged as a guy who may not return, and this deal adds fuel to that fire. But for now, it’s just that, fuel to the fire.
