Update: Jason Campbell is now and Oakland Raider - Looks like Big Ben is a no go in Oakland... did you really think that would happen?
And just when you thought you heard it all...
From the trade talks with the Bills and Seahawks to Pittsburgh picking up Byron Leftwich we saw this coming soon after his six game suspension.
According to reports out of Pittsburgh just hours before the start of the NFL Draft, the Steelers and Raiders may have agreed on an epic trade that would send suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to Oakland for Nnamdi Asomugha and a swap of first-round picks.
As each round passes in the 2010 NFL Draft so does the likely hood that Big Ben gets traded.
However if Pitt did snag Asomugha he would be an elite corner for the Steelers secondary, but also comes with arguably the worst contract in the NFL. His IDP rank, and the PIT DEF ranks both go up in this move.
For Roethlisberger... status quo? I don't think so. The Raiders are a cesspool of failure and lost hope. Not even Big Ben can turn that mess around.
I believe the Steelers are focused on the 2nd round of the NFL draft and will deal with the backlash of not trading Big Ben. While it will be painful for some fans and players; Roethlisberger's all pro QB play will soon make everyone forget his drunken mistake.
