Top Fantasy Football's perspective on the Minnesota Vikings search for a QB
Being from Mississippi myself and watching Brett Favre play at The University of Southern Mississippi and all 18 years of his NFL career, I can tell you that what I am bout to say is hard… Brett, retire! Go fishing, hunting, chew tobacco, purchase the New Orleans Saints franchise and move them to Mississippi, but for the love of football, retire! Eighteen years, Brett, that is a long time to throw the deep ball and do things only you can do and have done. You have been great since you walked into Green Bay. Year one, Brett threw for 3227 yds, 18 td’s (215 y/g)! Greatness in the making is what that was. Over the eighteen years Brett has thrown for over 65,000 yds and has an 85% qb rating. Again, goooo Brett! But Brett, it’s been eighteen years bro, your good and you are damn near superman material, but age is your kryptonite. Hang up the cleats, kick it in Hattiesburg with your family and enjoy football from a different angle (let me know if you want to join our “top-fantasy-football” league this year, we would make a spot for you!). I know there are a lot of people that would disagree with what I am saying and I am not 100% sure myself, but there is an ulterior motive here. Yes I am a football junkie, even more a fantasy football nut. Bottom line, the Vikings need a guy that can come in that is fresh and win games. In your prime no one would even come close to you, but your day has come and gone.
Michael Vick on the other hand, no not even in the same category as a quarterback, but we are not comparing Favre and Vick, we are talking about what is best for the Vikings and fantasy teams all over. Vick Vick Vick. Come on people think about it, Vick the Viking! Yea, I know he is a 50% type of qb, but you combine his crazy legs with the rest of running game in Minnesota, what is that other Viking running backs name, oh well, anyway. Who the heck is Favre going to throw to anyway, no body open, let’s see, run Brett run! Uh no! With Vick behind center, I see humongous numbers for AP! That’s the bottom line. Vick the Viking and first pick in the 2009 top-fantasy-football draft, I know who I’ll pick and it aint LT.
Who do you think would fit better in Minnesota?
