Josh McDaniels, New England's offensive coordinator the past two seasons, brings the Patriots' blueprint of offensive success to the Broncos. If Kyle Orton can deliver, the Broncos have a group of receivers that I would classify as explosive weapons; Eddie Royal, Tony Scheffler, Brandon Marshall, and depth at wide-out that rivals many NFL football teams. Will Kyle Orton come through? I don’t know but here are the pro’s to Orton this year.
- A chance to start over and make a name for himself
- A stand out unit of wide receivers
- Better Weather, any place is better than the “Windy City”
- Josh McDaniels
- Eleven running backs, one is bound to pan out
So while Cutler’s out, Denver still is in and should not be overlooked when making picks in your fantasy football draft. The entire starting offensive cast, except running-back (as usual), is draft worthy. I think the risk to reward is very high with the risk being only moderate.
