Word out of Motown is the Red Wings are merely toying with the San Jose Sharks, oh and the Best is yet to come.
Word out of Lions mini-camp today has rookie RB Jahvid Best with a firm grasp on the featured back job for the Detroit Lions.
"We're throwing everything we have at him," coach Jim Schwartz said. "We didn't spoon-feed it."
While former stud of the future Kevin Smith remains a dud in the mix, the glory is there for Best to grab, but he knows he has a lot to prove.
"I understand there's a lot of potential I have to play, but I just have to come in and do the best I can and help the team to win. Things should go great," Best said as the Lions wrapped up a three-day rookie minicamp Sunday. "There's a running back-by-committee so we can all get it done. I've just got to play my part."
And a big part it appears to be.
So where does this place him in the 2010 RB Rankings? Tune in this week for my opinion on that as well. In the mean time go check out our QB and and IDP rankings.
