Fantasy Football Draft Strategies

The TLDR version goes like this, everyone else please see the articles below. Draft at least 3 running backs and 4 wide receivers before the draft is complete. Look for quarterbacks in the middle rounds then draft a tight end after you have RB, WR and QB spoken for. With your first pick a general rule of thumb that works in most leagues is to draft one of the top-5 running backs followed by one of the top-5 wide receivers. Obviously I recommend using our cheat sheets.

You MUST have a cheat sheet customized to your league settings. When you're on the clock you can't waste time fumbling for information to help guide you toward the right pick. Our cheat sheets have all the important information in a single row. I developed our cheat sheets for myself and use it to this day.

Knowledge is power and preparation is key. The articles below will help new comers and vets get one step closer to that league championship.

Here’s a guest post from our buddy at footballandbrackets.com, Ryan Hester I got together with some of my fellow Staff Members and did a 12-team PPR scoring mock draft. I will offer my opinions on some picks that stuck out at me throughout the first eight rounds. Also be sure to check out my blog […]

Where Should You Draft Trent Richardson?

August 9, 2013 by Kurt Turner

So here we are again. Trent Richardson has missed the Browns’ preseason opener as a result of a shin injury. His latest malady should not necessarily provide owners with a massive source of concern, as it occurred when he was kicked during team drills. Plus, his resulting absence during Cleveland’s 27-19 win over the Rams appears to […]

Fantasy Football Expert Mock Draft Results: Rounds 1 – 5

August 9, 2013 by Kurt Turner

Why is it called “expert” mock draft? Are we so skilled that we can be called experts? Peyton Manning is an “expert” quarterback, Steven Jackson is an expert running back. They are experts because they’ve been doing what they do professionally for a long time at a very high level. Well, the people that attended […]

Where Should You Draft Daryl Richardson Now?

August 8, 2013 by Kurt Turner

The trio of Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead and Zac Stacy entered training camp in what was perceived to be a tight, three-way competition at the running back position, even though Richardson was considered as a slight favorite to ultimately capture the starting slot. But now that Jeff Fisher has somewhat surprisingly stated “I think Daryl comes back as our starter”, it is […]

2013 Fantasy Football Draft Value: Roddy White

August 7, 2013 by Kurt Turner

NFL Training Camps are now underway, and many fantasy owners are continuing their own preparations for upcoming fantasy football drafts. This provides an excellent opportunity to scrutinize where players are being selected during the voluminous amount of drafts that have already taken place, in the form of their Average Draft Positions (ADPs). This knowledge supplies critical […]
