Top 10 QB starts for week 15
1. Kurt Warner (Arizona Cardinals) @ Detroit
Warner is playing in a dome against a defense that allowed Brady Quinn to throw four touchdowns. Detroit's defense is worst in the league in every major category except for rushing yards allowed. Nuff Said
2. Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) vs. Dallas
Let's see here:
- high powered offense (check)
- playing in the Super Dome (check)
- Dallas's 21st ranked pass defense (check)
- 13 touchdowns and one interception in last four games (check)
3. Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts) @ Jacksonville
In week one, Manning went for 301 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a win over the Jaguars. Today his WR core is playing much better so another TD or two isn't crazy at all. I'd have Manning at number 2 but the fact that we don't know what the Colts will do with the starters is a cause for a little concern, but not much.
4. Matt Schaub (Houston Texans) @ St. Louis
Owners who took the risk on Matt Schaub have been rewarded this season. And now when it counts the most Houston faces the Rams who are second-to-last in the NFL in points allowed per game. With the ground game shaky in Houston they won't be able to take full advantage of the vulnerable St. Louis ground game forcing Schaub to make it happen in the red zone.
5. Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers) vs. Cincinnati
The San Diego Chargers are on fire and look unstoppable. Quarterback Philip Rivers has thrown just one interception in his last five games and has more than enough options on offense to keep the defenses guessing. Cincinnati's ball control offense (which is sputtering as of late) and above average defense lowers Rivers to number 5 on the QB list.
6. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) @ Pittsburgh
Without safety Troy Polamalu and possibly cornerback William Gay, Rodgers should not have much difficulty against a Steelers team that appears to be playing for draft picks, not wins.
7. Joe Flacco (Baltimore Ravens) vs. Chicago
Flacco is at home, where he plays much better, and Baltimore needs a win to stay in the playoff hunt. Chicago has allowed 21 touchdowns threw the air which is 10th in the league. Look for Flacco to put up 2 TD's with 250 yards passing.
8. Donovan McNabb (Philadelphia Eagles) vs. San Francisco
Did you watch Philadelphia play Sunday Night and whip the snot out of the New York Giants? D. Jackson is amazing and McNabb is like a kid in a candy shop with all these pass receiving options. The only thing knocking McNabb down a couple notches is Vick coming in and potentially stealing a touch down more and more each week.
9. Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) vs. Green Bay
Green Bay's secondary is ranked 3rd in the league with 23 interceptions and has the leagues 3rd lowest passing yards allowed @ 2,431. Big Ben has a tough matchup and who knows what team will show up this week.
10. Tom Brady (New England Patriots) @ Buffalo
Brady faced the Buffalo Bills in week one for 378 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. But this isn't the same three and out Buffalo Bills team nor is it the same Randy Moss. Temper your expectations and settle Brady here at number 9 on the list.
My top 10 sits

1. Alex Smith (San Francisco 49ers) @ Philadelphia
This week Smith should struggle since he plays on the road at Philadelphia. Also the Philadelphia defense will look to gain face this week after that smack down the G-men gave them (yes I know Philly won but they got ate up on the ground and air).
2. Josh Freeman (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ Seattle
Another pissed off defense that will try to lay some knots at home.
3. Brett Favre (Minnesota Vikings) @ Carolina
- Three interceptions in the last two games (check)
- Forcing passes (check)
- Playing against a pro bowl secondary -- they have allowed 13 TD and 18 INT this season -- (check)
- Everyone knows he likes his TE in the red zone (check)
- Peterson faces a sloppy run defense (check)
- Sit him down if you have one of the better options mentioned above.
4. Eli Manning (New York Giants) @ Washington
The last time these two teams met Manning had one touchdown and three turnovers. The G-Men will continue to run the ball hard and force the time of possession. Temper your expectations...
5. Chad Henne (Miami Dolphins) @ Tennessee
Chad Henne has been playing well since Brown went down. The wild cat has become a thing of the past and Miami is rediscovering the pass. But don't get all excited because Tenn. is on a tear here lately playing hard in all phases of the game. Sit Henne down.
6. Brady Quinn (Cleveland Browns) @ Kansas City
You feel like flipping a coin during the playoffs? Not me.
7. Daunte Culpepper (Detroit Lions) vs. Arizona
The Lions are hopeful Matthew Stafford can play this week but that isn't looking to good. Even if Stafford does start the road rust will be hard to shake off versus a pissed off Arizona Cardinals.
8. Mark Sanchez or Kelly Clemens (New York Jets) vs. Atlanta
Clemens is the backup to a first year rookie so you sure as hell don't want to start him. Sanchez would be coming off injury and playing with some rust.. neither of them would excite me versus Detroit! Sit'em.
9. Kyle Boller / Keith Null (St. Louis Rams) vs. Houston
I'm not sure which one will start, the five INT king or injury prone Boller. No matter what I trust neither against Houston’s amped pass rush.
10. Matt Moore (Carolina Panthers) vs. Minnesota
The Vikings just limited Carson Palmer to 100 passing yards and the pass rush will be way too much for Carolina to overcome. You'll be lucky to get 150 yards.

Matt Hasselbeck (Seattle Seahawks) vs. Tampa Bay
Matt Hasselbeck has now posted two solid games in a row and now faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa has allowed 24 touchdowns this year which is tied for third most in the league and seems to be getting worse as the year progresses.
