Julius Thomas – TE – Broncos
6’5, 245 Pounds
Portland State Vikings
4th Round Selection
Potential Sleeper Candidate
Julius Thomas wasn’t supposed to be a name thrown around in the fantasy arena, in fact, Thomas was SUPPOSED to be nothing more than a take-on project by the Broncos coaching staff.
Oh yeah?
Well, after one single week of camp, the supposed “work in progress” has left the other Broncos TEs in the dust, and has not only climbed up the depth chart, but is also being called Mr. Red-Zone.
The guy has gone from a fourth round nobody to taking all snaps with the first team to drawing double coverage, and we haven’t even gotten to the first Broncos preseason game yet.
Honestly, the guy is just sick and he's showing it in practice.
Thomas, an ex-basketball player converted to football, is being compared to players like Antonio Gates, Vernon Davis and even Jermichael Finely due to his unnatural athleticism, and excellent size (6’5” 245 pounds).
This is a guy you definitely want to follow during camp and preseason, because if he keeps this up, he could hold some unexpected, yet significant, value.
Stay tuned for more!
