1,561 Days, Fan Finally Takes Off His Favre Jersey

My son would wear his Ohio State jersey that many days in a row if we let him.

 

that reminds me of a saying:

i would've at least had 2 or 3 alternating....that thing looks nasty even if washed.

I read in the local paper that he now wants to frame the jersey and keep it in his room. I think it's pretty cool that Favre called the kid when he heard about the story!

What I'm getting at is could I create a story like this by wearing out one of my jerseys, get myself on national sports channels and all over the web and earn a tonne for it if I covered what would be my tracks well.

Just saying... Poor families do some strange stuff to make money, see the Shannon Mathews "missing person" case in Yorkshire, North England for example.

 

I guess his teachers and friends could verify it...right?
