1985 Bears To Visit The White House After 25 Years Of Winning Super Bowl XX

Discussion in 'Chicago Bears' started by BigBlueBruiser, Sep 22, 2011.

  1. On January 26, 1986, the Chicago Bears slapped the New England Patriots around on their way to winning Super Bowl XX, 46-10. Two days later, the country was shaken by the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster that killed all seven astronauts on board and the Bears never got to visit the White House. Twenty-five years later, President Barack Obama, noted Bears fan, is giving the '85 Bears that chance. On October 7th, they'll be visiting the White House .The '85 Bears remain one of the most memorable teams in NFL history.

Agree with everyone above. Very Cool. But would be so much better with one of the greatest RBs of all-time there. Still a nice gesture by Obama...

Cool gesture for sure. Very sad Walter isn't around for it. It is still hard to comprehend how short his life was...:icon_sad:
