It's a miracle when one of our guys (or in this case, two of our girls) wins a medal, considering the lack of support on sports here, and that the better sportsmen and women flee to the U.S. because they're offered scholarships we can't give them here (and then become U.S. citizens, effectively freaking us over)... And we still can win 2 or 3 more...I'm following very closely :icon_cheesygrin:
China is doing really well. I have been following the volleyball also. Both the mens and womens beach teams are really doing good.
I hope for them, that theyre clean, without doping. If they are, then I am their biggest fan however I have doubts
I have heard Phelps volunteered to be part of a new type of drug testing and he gets check constantly now because of it.
Anybody see that goalie get whacked in the chin during the handball game this afternoon? Hilarious...
Yup, he, Dara Torres, Tyson Gay and 9 other athletes volunteered to be tested under and experimental testing program that randomly test blood and urine samples all the time for all kinds of crap that's not tested for regularly. The USADA (US Anti Doping Agency) came up with the policy and asked Dara Torres to volunteer for it when she approached them to have her tested so she can prove she's doing this clean at the age of 41. Personally since most elite athletes regardless of country have access to PED's, the playing field is basically leveled out regardless. Btw, the Chinese divers are excellent.
