well, maybe this is a sign that the 49ers is back to playing well. if it is back for the rest of the season, i predict they will win the division.
they continue to pile up injuries, which is a concern but yes, i agree that the guy in the 'Smith' uniform does look like a completely different guy ............ it's weird how different he looks in fact. almost a complete transformation.
Maybe because we haven't seen him play for 2 years...I love that the 49ers kept Manning from throwing any TD's today, kudos to the 49ers for looking like a pro football team today.
nolan and singletary are so good at their defensive schemes when they're on their game. the coverages were very good to at least slow peyton down and i liked the stunts they were running to get as much pressure as they could against a good o-line. they continue to suffer more key injuries but hopefully the whole team is starting to understand what they're trying to do so the drop off at the positions won't be too far.
my bad. i was writing too fast and got my coaches switched. i've been so impressed with nolan's job this year with his new team, he's been at the top of my mind. singletary and manusky's :icon_cheesygrin: defenses have been fun to watch this year when they have put together some very good schemes.
He needs to realize that when he lets Smith air it out it works. We've seen it now for two games. The weapons are there on offense to spread out the defense and Gore is a receiving threat.
