NFL Europa training camps may have kicked off in the Tampa Bay area last week, but it was a little more than seven years ago when the overseas spring league officially arrived. Still known as NFL Europe at that time, the league was never again looked at in the same light after quarterback Kurt Warner an alumnus of the league capped off his incredible rise from obscurity with a Super Bowl victory. Super Bowl XXXIVs most valuable player, Warner led the St. Louis Rams to a 13-3 record that season, passing for 4,353 yards, 41 touchdowns and only 13 interceptions. It was an improbable storyline for a man who just one year earlier was working to prove himself as a member of the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe.
