I have removed all third party ads from AdBrite until futher notice. I have contacted AdBrite about the issues as well and hope to have a resolution on this soon. I have yet to have the issues on my end though so I don't have much to go on other than the sites people are being redirected to.

i got another "intrusion" attack from Norton... something about a malicious Firefox toolbox being downloaded??? would this have anything to do with the GIF toolbar by chance?

Maybe you should clear your cookies? I just signed on after Steve posted he removed the third party ads and I haven't had any problems.

What browser do you all use?

For those of you using Firefox I would recommend you install this addon:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

The reason you were being redirected was because of a script in the ads.

After installing this addon you will be safe from any scripts on any websites until you allow them.

You can do this by clicking on the "Options" button at the bottom of your browser whenever you visit a webpage.

If I feel that I'm at a reasonably safe site then I will generally select "Temporarily Allow All This Session" from the options.

It will also allow you to permanently allow certain sites, such as GIF without allowing any/all of the other scripts placed on web pages.

Sorry about the enchiladas remarks earlier in the thread, but I thought this was just random snitching and didn't realize it was a "Gridironfans Support" thread.

I keep getting a thing that has me open a pdf. My Acrobat starts to open and it takes forever to get it to close.

    When does it happen?

What is it trying to open up?

That happened to me as well, that was what Norton identified as a "high-risk" intrusion attempt. I just closed it.

Why was it so easy for you to close it Walnuts, yet mike says it takes so long?
