With the Dolphins deciding keep the franchise tag on defensive tackle Randy Starks for this season, there's a chance fellow defensive tackle Paul Soliai receives a long term deal during training camp.

Soliai's agent, David Canter, told the Palm Beach Post that he expects the Dolphins to extend a contract offer to Soliai around the halfway point during camp.

“I’m optimistic the team will come to us with a fair market deal to try to get it done,â€￾ Canter told the Palm Beach Post. “If not we’ll play it out.â€￾

Soliai has spent his previous six NFL years with the Dolphins, totaling 126 tackles, 3.5 sacks, seven pass deflections, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
