With the Dolphins deciding keep the franchise tag on defensive tackle Randy Starks for this season, there's a chance fellow defensive tackle Paul Soliai receives a long term deal during training camp. Soliai's agent, David Canter, told the Palm Beach Post that he expects the Dolphins to extend a contract offer to Soliai around the halfway point during camp. “I’m optimistic the team will come to us with a fair market deal to try to get it done,†Canter told the Palm Beach Post. “If not we’ll play it out.†Soliai has spent his previous six NFL years with the Dolphins, totaling 126 tackles, 3.5 sacks, seven pass deflections, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
