The Bears practiced without two defensive starters Thursday. Cornerback Charles Tillman was excused for a family matter, according to coach Marc Trestman. The team also opted to send Julius Peppers home after the defensive end exhibited flu-like symptoms. Trestman said Tillman will be back at practice Friday and added there is little worry about Peppers' availability for Sunday. "He had a little bit of a fever, a little flu-ish," Trestman said. "So instead of being around the team, (head athletic trainer) Chris (Hanks) and the training staff sent him home to see a doctor. I'm sure he'll be back. Nothing serious there."
