I fully expect the Vikings to get Harvin 12+ touches a game (including returns) and play all over the field. Rookie WR's biggest hurdles is actually seeing the field and even First rounders usually stick to a certain spot. With Bey, Crabtree, Maclin, Harvin, Nicks & Britt all being first rounders and throw in the potential of Robiskie there are a lot of expectations of this years clbutt. I'm not saying Harvin is going to be handed a starting spot opposite Berrian, but I could easily see him at least take over for Bobby Wade from the slot and from the slot Wade has gone over 50 rec. and 600 yards in each of his two seasons in Minny with crap at QB. I think Minnesota should have Berrian and Rice starting which will allow them to move Harvin all over the place and take advantage of mismatches and still enable him to have the 12+ touches a game. Add to that a possible Brett Favre zipping the ball to him and I am shocked to see him get no votes and a guy like Nicks on a run based offense with several WR's in his way getting 6 votes.

The Giants have plenty of WR's and have no need to rush Nicks into the limelight until he shows that he is ready which could be at least a year away. Bey is going to be lucky to get 30 catches this year. He hands are weak at best and he is dealing with a very inaccurate QB in russell. I like Austin Collie better than I like Heyward-Bey. Robiskie is smart, will be an extremely hard worker and is handed (he will earn it) a starting gig on a team that will be passing a lot by games end. That alone will give him more opportunities for more catches/yards/scores.

I would put Maclin, Britt and Crabtree all around 35-40 catches. Maclin to be the most consistent of the group and could pay some dividends in the return game. Crabtree will start slower with questions at the QB position and the teams reinvigorated stance on running the ball more, but could finish strong. I see Britt also starting slow as the Titans are a running team combo'ing power and speed. Britt should start out in the role washington had while he was in pittsburgh, but by season's end should put washington back in that familiar role, lol

I think that there can be some real success stories from this year's class, aside from Heyward-Bey, he will fail. I just think that most will come from 2010 and beyond.

This year I only see either Harvin or Robiskie putting up any real worthwhile numbers with Harvin getting the best chance to succeed (i.e. catches/rushes/returns/playing time/quality of team and players around him) I would say like high estimate to be 55-60 catches/600 yards/4 TDs/ 25-30 rushes/200 yards/2-3 TDs/ 2-3 Kickoff/Punt return TD's

i like harvin too, but until i see him stay healthy i cant put him up there.....12 touches a game wont happen if he keeps getting hurt, hes just been so fragile over his career, i cant see him staying on the field all year, but i think robiskie will come in strong and he doesnt have the durability issues

i also am liking nicks as we get closer

I think Crabtree will be a good reciever. Can't wait to see what he does with the 49ers.

injuries aside, because anyone of them could get hurt and harvin has been known to play through pain, he has one of the better opportunities at getting the stats out of of most of those players. I think Mike Thomas in Jax will do better than a bunch of those guys and he isn't even listed.

i know that anyone can get hurt but im giving harvin the highest odds

what would you say if you take injury out of the equation? I mean Robiskie is in the injury capital of the league.

    this is true.

ok well harvin definitely will get his touches and probably the most opportunities to score since hes got a great RB and great blocking on his side but i do like nicks alot, he runs good routes and that should help in step in and be a go-to guy this year. i just think harvin will get alot of flashy plays but wont be the most consistant, while i think guys like nicks and robiskie will have stable rookie years

I agree, but I will flip flop Robo and Harvin. Im a a huge fan of Robo, and I see him as the next Hines Ward.

I think Robo is ready to be a legit WR right now, and i could see 60 for 700 as a rook.

Harvin on the other hand will contribute but more sporadically, could be this years Felix Jones. I could see him being a guy who gets a big play this game on an end around, big play 4 games later on a return, big play 3 games later on a catch and run. I can see him finishing with like 35-600 and a nice return average

I voted Nicks because of the way he made plays in college. Quite a highlight reel he had going. Not necessarily the best route runner but he always seemed to come up with the ball when it was in his neighborhood. Can't always say that about college recievers. Maybe I just saw all his good stuff but when you think of a wr who thinks that every ball is going to be his....that's what struck me about Nicks

nicks has always been a really good route runner...next to robiskie he ran the best routes and he was cetainly the best route runner of the first round WRs

But you kow what I mean about getting that ball Ktrain? reaching behind him...getting the tips....one handed.

oh yeah your right...he was sick in college and was a highlight reel....i was just saying that route running has been his strongest asset, and that was why he went before britt

I went with Percy Harvin although he'll be more of a hybrid player getting the ball in various ways, not just as a wide out. I think he'll be a big impact player.
