An expanded 96-team NCAA men's basketball tournament starting in 2011, the subject of much debate during the current incarnation of March Madness, is considered "probable" by Big Ten conference commissioner Jim Delany.

Personally, I think its a terrible idea. If you look at the bubble the last few years it's been difficult to pick 63 teams that deserve to make it, let alone 96.

Stupid idea but its all about the money. If the NCAA and the conferences think they can make more money with 96 than 64 then they will do it.

Rumor mill: You will have 4 brackets of 24. Seeds # 1-8 will get a first round bye.

Horrible idea. Money makes the world go round, but this is a horrible idea. What is the point of the conference tourneys, not to mention the regular season?
