Texans backup quarterback Ryan Mallett has shown that he just doesn’t get it, and coach Bill O’Brien has reportedly seen enough. The Houston Chronicle reports that when Mallett missed the Texans’ team flight to Miami on Saturday, O’Brien considered that the last straw and wanted to cut Mallett. But Texans General Manager Rick Smith refused. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...llett-g-m-refuses/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs
I'm reading all over the Internet that he was already released. Something tells me O'Brien won't be around much longer in Houston.
O' Brien wanted him released yesterday, And think he got his way this morning. Most local sports reporters think he will be back next year, but everybody wants Rick Smith gone.
There is also no O-Line, HB, (now), secondary, or d-line. The only bright spot so far is DeAndre Hopkins.
happy trails to ryan mallett.i suspect his coach will be gone after this season if he keeps on losing. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/10/27/texans-cut-ties-with-mallett/
