The 1st team offense has yet to score a TD in the preseason. Trentative Checkwards played his usual brand of 6 yd passes. The offense is inept. I'm pissed off right now. Maybin actually had a good game.

Ben looked incredibly sharp, not usually one to come off of injury and play well..... Limas sweed is a ****ing stud in the making, he had a very limas sweed at texas catch tonight, your looking a a future badbutt. Mendenhall fumbled but it wasnt his fault...he got the handoff and there was a guy right there that really shouldnt have been....but mendenhall grew balls tonight, not a great average but he ran with absolute authority and hit the hole like he was out to punish. Run blocking left much to be desired Pass blocking was ok, run blocking was not. Joe burnett stepping up big on ST with the blocked FG, he answered a bad game agaiinst redskins with an impressive one farrior just keeps going....the man gives it all Shut out? in the most important preseason game? ill take it Welcome to the steelers mr logan

I'm watching it right now...liking what I'm seeing from Logan and Mendenhall so far in this first quarter. If I could map a first quarter for Mendenhall, minus the fumble, this would be it...he looked totally different in this game than he has in the past.
I can't re-watch that mess of a game again. I can only hope TO on the field will help this pathetic excuse of an offense.
Roethlisberger - the ankle looked fine. Ben looked like Ben. I like the call Ben had waiving the punt team off and getting the Bills to jump...too bad the refs didn't call the neutral zone infractions, which should've been called. I think the only thing he did wrong was lead Wallace to the outside instead of the inside...he leads Wallace to the inside on that deep ball in the 2nd quarter and that was 6! Mendenhall - Like I already said, this is the game I was looking for from Mendenhall (minus the fumble.) There was no hesitation in his step and he hit the hole full speed...had a couple of nifty moves to gain some extra yardage...good outing for him. Logan - This kid possibly made the roster last week, this week, he sealed his spot on the roster. Wallace looked good on his return as well... Logan also showed he could take somewhat of a hot and hold on to the ball. Sweed - Another couple of sick catches...caught the easy ones too. Ran nice routes...I think that one he caught out of bounds was a lot closer than they made it seem. O-Line - They're doing a real nice job pass blocking this preseason. The run blocking is coming along. I'd like to see that run average increase a little bit...Essex looked good... Farrior - lol...save it for the regular season! Pick 6 for Potsy!! Harrison - Dominated...as usual... Sepulveda - DOMINATING! Ward - Still looks good...lol...the dude was money this game... They need to work on the dumb penalties...holding, false starts, illegal formations... Wallace needs to take a couple Hines Ward/Limas Sweed blocking classes. If he makes his block, Heath Miller goes for a TD... David Johnson getting some snaps at FB...Frank Summers can't possibly make this team... Defense just dominated in the first quarter...the pressure was awesome...Willie Gay should've had a Pick 6... A little worried about the injuries to Carey Davis and Lawrence Timmons.
