its supposed to be some sort of roundtable with sports people and non sports people, they were talking about it on the radio this morning and said that the panel will include Brett Favre, Michael Irvin, Chad Ochocinco, David Wright, Paul Rudd, Artie Lange & Jason Sudeikis. At least that's the way the news made it sound.

I'm actually going to see how long before the epicness of Lord Favre and Sir Buck elevate the panel from the darkness to the light.

    Favre: "Maybe."

Favre just referred to the Vikings as "we".

said Childress asked him to attend OTAs and he chose not to because he didn't want to create multiple media frenzies.

As for his legacy in Green Bay: "I don't know what to tell them. Vince Lombardi went to the Washington Redskins when he left ... Time heals a lot of wounds."

Seems like Brett is holding back. All in all very anticlimatic.

Vince did it, Reggie White came out of retirement to play another season in the NFL, but they all did it w/o the drama. Basicly it's a part of the business, but you have to do it the "normal" way, not in a media attention whoring. This wounds will take a long time to heal. Right now, I hope they will ban any Favre stuff from the Packers HoF

I totally disagree. I don't see why everyone thinks Favre is an attention tramp. He has NOT started all these rumors of will he or won't he, he was basically quiet. Now that he has had his surgery, he has spoken, and said that if all is well, he will come back. I really don't see an issue with that. Truth be spoken, I wish TT would get off his high horse and bring him back to the Pack, but we all know that will never happen, even IF Rodgers sucks or gets hurt next season. TT is an ass, plain and simple.

There also wasn't as much of an NFL following back then that there is now...

No doubt media is the biggest part of the Favre circus, but they will feed off of what is given to them. Last year it was the pissing match with the Green Bay FO before signing with the Jets. Now you've got Brett creating soundbites like ""Nothing has changed," Favre said in a statement. "At this time, I am retired and have no intention of returning to football." (ESPN) Not only is he looking at coming back, but he has earmarked the Vikings as the only team he will consider. What the heck is up with that and how can that be excused away as "it's the media creating the attention". Unfortunately, Favre's disdain for the Green Bay brass DOES have an effect on loyal Packers fans and his words and actions are the direct cause.
