Favre, according to NFL sources, is agreeable to undergoing a minor procedure in which surgeons complete the cutting of the tendon. The recovery period would be quick, and Favre would be ready to go long before training camp. Indications are Favre is as anxious to join the Vikings as Childress is to have him running an offense that includes Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson and wide receivers Bernard Berrian and Percy Harvin.

The thing that no one seems to mention is that we're talking about a 40-year old QB. He certainly ain't gonna get any better and is going to deteriorate faster with every year of age at this point.

All I hope is that the Packers are good enough this year to beat the Vikings twice so they can properly stick the fork into Brett themselves.
