Interim Colts coach Bruce Arians wants Colts fans to keep Packers fans from taking over their stadium this weekend, Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star reports.

“Having been against the Packers,’’ Arians said Thursday, “I know how their fans travel. No way can they come into Lucas Oil this week and take over our stadium.â€

The game carries increased significance because it’s the first since coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia. He continues to receive treatment at IU Simon Cancer Center.

Few teams have a more dedicated and vociferous road following than Green Bay. There undoubtedly will be pockets of Packers fans in the stands.

“I’m challenging our fans, especially this week because it’s kind of a unique, special thing,†Arians said.

A pro-Packers backdrop, he added, “cannot happen. (The fans) need to be at an all-time high for Chuck and for the team.

“We cannot allow the Cheeseheads to come in here and take over.â€
