Bucs cornerback Aqib Talib violated the terms of his one game suspension by attending the Bucs 17-14 win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday. Talib, who was serving a one-game suspension for violating the NFL's player conduct policy, watched Sunday's game from a private suite at Raymond James Stadium. As part of his suspension, Talib was told to stay away from the team, including the training facility, and avoid conversations with players and coaches. "Suspended players cannot attend games, even as a spectator,'' said Greg Aiello, the NFL's director of communications. "We are looking into it.'' When asked on Wednesday by the Times where he watched Sunday's game, Talib said he watched it on television at home. But the Bucs-Browns game was subject to the NFL's blackout rule within a 75-mile radius of the Tampa Bay region because it wasn't a sellout. "I watched the game from the TV at the house, man,'' Talib said Wednesday.

God dammit I knew there was something wrong with him watching the game and "jumping off the couch".

  3. I bet Raymond James has pretty comfortable "couches" in those V.I.P. boxes.

    Can anybody say "Extended suspension"?

  5. He'll likely receive additional fines....but the penalty isn't severe enough to warrant another suspension.

To me, suspensions in the NFL are like adult versions of timeouts for children. when the children leave timeout before they're supposed to, or they break the rules of timeout, the original sentence gets extended. Therefore, Talib needs to get suspended at least an extra game.

I can't find any information saying he will receive an additional suspension. All sign point to an additional fine on top of the two game checks he's already losing.

  8. This isn't child's play were talking about here....lol

Talib may have violated his suspension by attending the game in a V.I.P. suite.....but thats all he really did.

Not like he went out and punched another cabby.....

Same thing with Seahawks LB Leroy Hill. He openly said in an article I posted about his return from a one game suspension that he was at Sunday's game. WTF. Are you that freaking stupid? Who the heck is your agent? Are you getting advice from anyone?

Yeah, but the NFL needs to make an example out of him.

Monetarily they will for both. They already lost game checks. Maybe a $5K-$10K additional. It is not a BFD compared to the original infractions. Players just need to be a little smarter.
