The Buccaneers today have unveiled their most recent depth chart, and it contains one very surprising move. Running back Cadillac Williams is listed as the starter, meaning he'll be the back to kick-start the three-man rotation the team plans to use. Derrick Ward is listed No. 2 and Earnest Graham is listed third. Source: St. Petersburg Times
It remains to be seen if Cadillac can stay healthy. They've definitely got good depth at this position though.
All NFL players want is what's best for the team. They all leave their egos at home before they show up for work.
I saw him make one 30 yard run and waited for him to be open in FF. He showed a great burst and seemed ready to go. Only thing that's held him back are those knee injuries.
All three had good camps. He showed no signs of the previous two injuries. Like doug said he still has the burst and with the Bucs new "down hill" running style cutting shouldn't be an issue this year.
this is just a case of someone has to be "listed" as number 1. There will be plenty of rotation until at least one of them gets hurt. They didn't play Ward that much money to sit on the bench. I would suspect Caddy and Ward to split carries on 1st and 2nd down, and graham coming in on 3rd downs and goalline work.
If memory serves the Bucs were going to run a 3-3-1 system. Meaning 3 carries(sub) 3 carries (sub) 1 carry. That could have been Jags' plan though. I really don't know.
I thought I read something similar to that, the Jags certainly won't be doing that so it must be the Bucs.
