Phillips needs to go 2-1 to keep his job. With our sched left thats a very tall order. Im hoping Jones makes the right desision and brings in the closest thing to Jimmy Johnson you are ever gonna get, being Ken Norton JR. And not the wrong one by getting some overrated "established heck like Cower, Shannahan or Gruden. They wont do crap but cash a fat check and mail in a coaching tenure. Which seems to be what all coach's of that grade seem to do
I don't know what to say they played the game well enough to win.....the december curse continues to hang over this team.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap;_y...=200912 13006 Dallas' first good scoring chance ended with a field goal that put it ahead 3-0. On the next deep drive, Marion Barber(notes) got to the 1 on first down, then was stuffed on three straight runs. The Cowboys moved him from fullback to halfback on the fourth-down play, but it didn't fool anyone. "He's not getting paid to block," said linebacker Tim Dobbins(notes), who was in on all three tackles from the 1. "We knew it was going to be a flip or a dive. I don't even know what they were thinking. I don't know if they watch film or what."
Garrett was called out a few weeks ago after calling 4 straight passes from the 1 against Denver and failing miserably...I don't know what he was trying to prove :icon_rolleyes:
Philips is a dumb heck. I'll never forget when he said that the Eagles basically sucked and then his team lost to them the next week. What kind of coach in the NFL calls out another team like that and loses? Freaking fat shmuck. Anyways, I'm torn. I like knowing the crumble is imminent come that magical December 1st date, but I hate seeing his tubby ugly butt on the sideline every week. Hmmmm...
