Chiefs Hire Romeo Crennel As Defensive Coordinator

I knew this report was kind of fishy since Crennel just returned from his vacation on Monday and wasn't even brought in for an interview by any club before than.

Haslett has a solid defensive mind and I wouldn't be that all upset if we hired him granted if he can get the job done. Now that Pepper is available, it could start to pick up more steam during the week. He is still my favorite choice to be our new Defensive Coordinator.

He seems that perfect choice Mara was talking about when voicing his displeasure of the teams overall performance.

 

My question is...don't we need to fire the DC we have before we hire a new one?

 

this chiefs team is going to be good....i said that last year but they keep having incredible drafts and building their team up, now they got a proven coaching formula....haley had the cards high powered offense, wies and crennel won multiple rings, could be trouble for the chargers and broncos 2 years down the road

From what I've been finding, it's basically up to the Chiefs. Crennel prefers to come to KC, just need to make the contract work. If he doesn't end up in KC it will be on the Chiefs.

Not battling anyone at this point. His agent says he wants to go to Chiefs.
