Flame me if you want, but I offer this. That article was written with a definite slant. There was nothing to support the claim that Peterson was told not to attend. It's almost if I think Peterson wrote the article himself. If the Chiefs did in fact tell Carl Peterson not to attend then that is pretty immature by the organization. Carl Peterson has been booed for years in the city, it would be nothing new nor would it take away from the festivities on Sunday. What I don't like is that the article goes overboard in lauding Peterson. I've never known him to "go out and tailgate, shake hands, kiss babies and thank fans for coming to Arrowhead". Sorry, everything I've heard about Peterson was that he was an arrogant pr**k....to everyone.

Look, I appreciate what Carl Peterson did for this organization in the 90's. He stayed about 7 years too long in my opinion. I would not have a problem with Carl attending the retirement ceremony for #58. Then again, I could care less that he wasn't. If he really was that important to DT, then why didn't the family insist that he was there? Seems logical to me.

You make some good points dude...

I didn't notice earlier that this was from WPI...

I've got to wonder now how much of it is actually true.
