Chiefs front 7 absolutely disappeared. Tamba Hali didn't get any pressure on the QB, in fact, no one did. Schaub had all day and lit the Chiefs up. Very disappointing, this one definitely is squarely on the defense. Bogus PI call on Flowers at the end didn't help but that's not the reason they lost.
Bad day for the defense, but I still feel the need to say screw you refs for giving the Texans two touchdowns. (Hali was clearly held on that run)
I'm thinking we should come out with our 'panic playbook' in the first quarter from now on, rack up 70 points a game and screw how many points the opposing team scores...
Was kind of hoping to see the Chiefs pull this one out. Chiefs are playing the best ball in the West right now and it may be enough to get them into the playoffs.
The PI call on Flowers was total BS....but this loss is on the defense...they just totally gave up in the last 6 minutes of this game. Very disappointed in them today! :icon_evil:
Luckily for us, that's the best offense we'll see all year. I kept saying we should be blitzing because that's how you beat Schaub. You give him time and he picks you apart......
Looking back, it really was just the 4th quarter that the defense collapsed. They had played pretty well up to that point. Texans stats quarters 1-3 Points: 14 First Downs: 10 Total yards: 236 Punts: 4 Texans Stats 4th quarter: Points: 21 First Downs: 13 Total yards: 185 Punts: 0 One horrible quarter doesn't make this a bad defense, although it was painful, I'm confident they'll rebound. We sure could use another pass rusher though.
2 straight home games against jacksonville and buffalo.....gotta take care of buisness, chargers have been giving us breaks. This is our division to win, we just gotta take it.
