Chris Andersen, key off the bench as a source of energy during the Heat's championship run last season, has committed to re-signing with Miami, sources confirmed to ESPN. Anderson could have commanded longer deals elsewhere, but sources said he couldn't bear to leave such a good situation in Miami, where he emerged as the Heat's best big man after joining the team in January. He averaged 4.9 points and 4.1 rebounds off the bench in 42 regular season games and 6.4 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting a remarkable 81 percent from the field in the postseason. The Heat had made bringing Andersen back an offseason priority but are limited somewhat financially because they are facing a $30 million luxury tax bill this upcoming season. Yahoo! Sports first reported the agreement. Andersen can't sign the deal before Wednesday, when the league lifts its annual moratorium on player business. Source: ESPN
Re: Chris Anderson To Resign With Miami Heat yeah this is huge for the Heat. i honestly think andersen was silently a co-mvp with the energy he brought that team off the bench, not to mention his timely play making ability.
Re: Chris Anderson To Resign With Miami Heat Gotta LOVE "The Birdman"........Heat fans love his intensity, dude is a gamer...

who gives a crap about the Timberwolves and Derrick in a Miami Heat player thread...wtf You buy the players who are going to help you win a championship, if you're not doing that well you'll be without rings..like..well the Magic
At least people respect the Magic. The Heat are like the Cowboys and Yankees. We'll see LeBron leave and Miami will be nothing again. Just like when they went 15-67 in 07-08
Who respects losing? People used to losing? And the Heat have been a respectable team, keep hating, makes it much more fun when I show this.
Yeah exactly, and that cost the Magic the only chance at a championship when they shipped off Howard and Shaq off for peanuts. But live in the hater world.
every team is bought regardless of whether they win a championship or not...meaning so is every championship. so i'm not sure what that point was supposed to be. rofl
People respect the Magic??? :laughy32: Ummm..pssssssssssst...we actually won the championship before King James....
