So, what's the big deal about this "story"? You restructure a half a dozen contracts, and you're suddenly under the cap again. Would this be such a big "story" if this was about Martin Mayhew?

You're missing my point. I bet a great majority of NFL teams are over the salary cap. IMO, this is a non-story.

 

And we are looking to be the tops at being over the cap from what I'm hearing.

no. stephen jones handles the cap. if you're going to discuss non-issues, please at least be aware of how the team operates.

 

The problem is that the Joneses, Stephen and or Jerry, came into the NFL in 1989 when there was no cap. They're still acting like there still isn't one.

 

I know how this team operates. And it operates like Jerry wants it. His son may appear to run the operations of that team but nothing goes by without Jerrys approval. Stephens still his dads puppet as long as he is alive. And it was a related issue with the team trying to add payroll in the terms of a more reliable RB.
