Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross had a townhall meeting recently with team employees and said the team's biggest offseason goal will be to get a top receiver, Mike Berardino of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. This according to a source who was in attendance. Ross, the source said, called the acquisition of a true No. 1 receiver the team’s “top offseason priority.†Top prospective free agents at the position include Greg Jennings (Packers), Mike Wallace (Steelers), Wes Welker (Patriots) and Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs). Bowe is a Miami native who starred at Norland High School. The last time Dolphins employees were told in such a setting that a top-shelf receiver was a leading priority, the team soon after acquired Brandon Marshall from the Broncos in April 2010 and gave him a $50 million contract.
