The first bum note in the Eagles' summer rendition of "Ode to Joy" was sounded Monday by prodigal cornerback Asante Samuel. The Pro Bowler was missing for the first few giddy days of camp, as the team's front office went on a remarkable talent acquisition spree. Samuel's absence was said to be excused due to unidentified personal reasons. After the Eagles added two Pro Bowlers at his position, though, it was fair to wonder if those personal reasons were named Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Immediately after the (sleep)walk-through session, Samuel poured kerosene all over that simmering speculation. "I want to be where I'm wanted," Samuel said. "If they're tired of my big playmaking ability, they can ship me out." Source: Philadelphia Inquirer
I saw the whole thing he doesent want out hes just hurt that hes in talks for a trade. He wants to be there who wouldent in that great situation. If he stays he will be happy
hes a top 5 corner, but hes #2 on that team.....i am not surprised he wants out, hes the other guy there now
Illiterate cowboy fans.....hallways need to have things explained to them. He wants to be where he is wanted .....if they trade him then that is obvious,y not Philly but if they keep him then they obviously do want him and he will be happy. Understand?
He said if The eagles are tired of his playmaking IF IF IF IF IF obviously the eagles arent there just seeing what his value is. When hes on the team week 1 and we start winning this will be forgoten.
Tablet keyboard typing errors and no time to proofread is hardly a measure of literacy. Inability to comprehend simple clear statements quoted on a message board is.
He should be happy it makes his chances to win a superbowl better. Its not like the lito situation where he got bumped out of a starting job.
he has 2 SBs already, maybe thats not on the top of his list anymore if it ever was. you have no idea what these guys are in it for
That logic is stupid did jordon think after winning 2 rings why am i gonna win 4 more i have 2. Every year your goal is to win another championship. This isnt about money cause he already got his contract. Its about his ego being hurt that the eagles are willing to see what hes worth. The players just have to understand its a buisness.
Someone is going to end up unhappy period. You can't have 3 elite corners. If Asante isn't traded whoever ends up as the nickel back (DRC I presume) will be a very unhappy Eagle. Sure everyone wants a ring but a lot of pride is involved also.
