Andy loves him some CB's. Eagles have had close to this before, not as prolific, but talent wise close on the back end of the defense. They had Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent, Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard all on the same team. Although Lito didn't make the pro bowl until Bobby and Troy left, and Sheldon never made a pro bowl, there were seasons where he should have made it.

In fact in 2002, the Eagles had Bobby Taylor, Troy Vincent, Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown and Al Harris.

So there is really no reason to trade Samuel and weaken the D especially in today's NFL where teams are in the Nickel 60% of the time. It wouldn't be a great move...

Castillo said in nickel situations, Asomugha will likely play the nickel position. Figures he could use his versatility there. Hmmm.

If the Eagles keep this Samuel and this secondary in tact and still cannot win a superbowl - with all of this team's talent it may never happen... :icon_frown:

Talent wise, Cromartie is the odd man out.

DRC and AZ's 2nd rd pick for Patrick Willis.

    Basically, Kolb for Willis.

Pull the freaking gun away from my head already, kay? Sheesh!

DRC said he was cool with it. Dude was professional as hell and said he'd be more then happy to learn under Nnamdi and Asante.

Playing nickel isn't as easy as just taking a starter and putting them at the nickel spot...there's a chance that whomever they put there could struggle to play the position at the level they did when they played the right or left spot. Asomugha would probably be the best fit in the nickel.

The nickel has to be able to tackle well and drc would need to get better at that.
