    He came back from being released by a team that signed him as an undrafted free agent? Which BTW, was a totally stupid move. I was shocked when he was let go. He looked like the real deal when given the chance in the preseason:

    after looking the criteria for the award...i'll buy it

    in my mind i associate it mostly with coming back from an injury

    There has to be a by-law somewhere that says rookies don't count. Why have a rookie of they year then?

    I think that's the problem a lot of fans have. They choose one criteria above the others instead of taking them all into consideration.

    I don't think I'm being a homer in thinking that when you take each criteria, and the players that improved in each, Vick easily excelled more than the others in their criteria.
