Yea because the playoffs are always predictable and the team thats supposed to always wins lol. Both teams can be beat
o rly? I didnt give up on this team at all. Care to tell me where i did? Fact, the Cards, Saints and Vikings are all better than any team in the NFC east. The Giants offense tonight shredded your defense, what do you think teams like the above three mentioned could do? And you would face 1 of the three in the second round. You talk about the saints almost losing, last time I checked the hung 40+ on the Eagles. How about what the Cardinals were able to do in the NFC Championship game last year. No team in the NFC east has what it takes this year due to the top 3 teams being so good.
o my god we lost to a good saints team in the regular season and the chargers eagles should just give up there spot in the playoffs they have no chance. Everyone knows the postseason games are just like the regular season :cryin10: All i see when you speak right now is this
It was a high flying, high scoring contest. Probably the highest combined score between the Giants and Eagles in a single game. Props to the Eagles, they got it done and made the more key big plays than we did. DeSean Jackson, what can I say. This guy defines the word dynamic. Hes a major threat to score every time the ball is in his hands. Two more 50+ yard Touchdowns on a punt return and that touchdown reception one play after we took the lead on Hixon's 61 yard touchdown catch. We had chances but couldn't capitalize on them all. No matter what we've tried to plug in to soften the loss of Kenny Phillips, it hasn't been working and were paying for it. Mike Mayock said he wasn't quite Ed Reed coming out but in the first two games this season, he sure as hell played like him. Both times this season, the Eagles notched 40+ on us and the third time this season overall. This is not Giants football. I hate to say this word because no defense should be associated with it, were a more finesse defense and not being physical enough and stopping anybody. We played alot better on Offense tonight with Eli having a career game with 391 yards and three touchdowns. Our running game was more consistent tonight and Jacobs at times was the Jacobs of old just dragging and fighting for every yard. I could go even further about what went wrong and why we couldn't contain the Eagles as much as we should've. But I'll point out two very key things, that early 14-0 hole and those five fumbles which lead to four turnovers. That one on Eli I'll wind up thinking about for awhile. Its as close as a fumble will ever be and if that field wasn't so slick, it might've been different. Who knows? I'll wrap this up now before I even get more frustrated. lol Good game Eagle fans, you got it done and we just couldn't hang on. But we didn't quit, granted!
What a freaking game tonight. Not for a second did I think we had the game locked up. Just had a feeling this would come down to the wire. How nice is it to have a team that can win the close ones??? The D got freakin' shredded. Poor tackling, poor coverage. Glad we made it out of that mess with a notch in the Win column. That shouldn't happen again in the regular season. Now THIS is an offense, baby! Give that rock to Weaver! Let the guy pound it in there! DeSean, all night long! Donny was throwing lasers. Celek, Vick... I love it. I could snitch about Donny's usual problems but I'll give him his due this week. 49ers are no slouch, this team better not look past them like they did the Raiders. Good game, Giants fans.
Leonard Weaver gets my vote for one of the biggest steals in Free Agency this season. He could very well be the Eagles potential feature back and have a thunder and lightning combo of their own with McCoy. Weaver seems to be another version of Deuce Staley but a better receiver. Good game to you guys as well.
strategy.. keep giants 1 win underneath us and we get a playoff spot. or GB for that matter. giants got a tough game left against vikings, but they prolly wont be trying to play anybody so that could screw us, potentially. i see us losing to saints, and the only way we make playoffs is to win the last 2. skins and eagles. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Jus' sayin'.
As well as his 40+ yard touchdown run against us nearly two months ago. :icon_rolleyes: This guy was grossly under utilized in Seattle.
dont worry our game is coming but really if the eagles win and cowboys lose to the saints that last game the eagles might be resting there starters. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Yea but that play was more about great blocking
Still, we let him get by. Displayed pretty good speed. When a Fullback can do this to our defense, you know you've got problems.
QFT. It was a must win game to get back on top of the NFC East. And we do need to win out to make the postseason but we still control our own destiny. Dallas needs to lose at New Orleans on Saturday night and we must bounce back on Monday Night at Washington to take control of the #6 seed in the NFC Playoffs. If this happens, simple, we win out and were 10-6 and in the postseason as the #6 seed. Even if Dallas also finishes 10-6, we get the sixth seed because of the series sweep tiebreaker we own over the Cowboys. I agree with you that we must win out but we still control our own destiny. Its not over by a long shot. Keep the Faith. :icon_cheesygrin:
