Randy Orton opens the show by making his way to the ring. Joey Styles says RVD isn't medically cleared to wrestle tonight, but Tazz states he'll be medically cleared for One Night Stand. Orton said he knows he isn't welcomed in ECW due to what he did to RVD. Orton showed the footage from Raw involving himself and Van Dam. Fans boo Orton. Orton said RVD suffered a concussion, and states what he did was legal. He said RVD has challenged him to a stretcher match on One Night Stand. Orton said on Sunday, he'll be carted off on a stretcher. Out comes Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer said people love RVD and HBK, and says Orton isn't welcomed in ECW. Dreamer said he is welcomed to a match with him tonight, however. Orton accepts his challenge, and states he'll kill the legend of ECW.

NO-DQ match: CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke. Early on, fans chant we want tables. Burke got into an argument with referee Scott Armstrong, but of course, its no disqualification. Burke set up a table in the corner. Cor Von does a run in, but gets a chair shot from Punk. Cor Von pounces Punk into the table. Burke covers Punk for the victory.

Vince on a remote puts down the names of Joey and Tazz. He said Joey sounds like a 12 year's old name. McMahon brings up a L (as in Lashley), but calls him a loser. Vince introduces Lashley. Lashley said that he's confident. McMahon wants to know what makes him tick, and Lashley said he's a champion, but Vince reminds him that he's the ECW champion. McMahon said he's from the streets, which Lashley laughs at. Lashley said on Sunday, he'll prove he's a champion. Vince said this is Lashley's last stand, just like Custer's last stand. Vince told Lashley not to interupt him as he's old enough to be his uncle, Lashley replies "my dad's uncle." Lashley again says on Sunday he'll become the ECW champion.

Balls Mahoney vs. Kevin Thorn. Thorn wins quickly win the original sin finisher.

Backstage, the Majors are talking about Rob Van Dam and in comes Matt Striker. Striker mentions that the draft lottery could split up the Majors brothers. Striker couldn't tell them apart. Striker challenges one of them for next week.

Randy Orton vs. Tommy Dreamer. Orton wins the RKO. After the match, Orton hits a second RKO. Orton kicks Dreamer, which brings out RVD in street clothes. Orton nails RVD in the head, and leaves RVD with a glazed look on his face. Fans chanted "RVD, RVD." Styles again asks if RVD should compete on Sunday's PPV?

Vince McMahon is sitting in a rocking chair set up on the stage with a deranged look on his face. Worth noting that Tony Chimmel is doing the announcing tonight. Bobby Lashley's music hits and our first match is up.

Bobby Lashley vs. The Sandman, Balls Mahoney, and Tommy Dreamer in a Hardcore Match: Apparently this match was made by Vince earlier in the day on WWE.com as punishment to Bobby Lashley for being just so darn unbeatable. The match immediately begins with the Originals working over Lashley with an assortment of low-impact weapons. Lashley leaves the ring twice for a moment to regroup. He eventually regains momentum back in the ring before being met by Dreamer, who tries to suplex him from the apron to the ground. Lashley blocks it and brings Dreamer back in the hard way. On the outside, he meets Balls with a clothesline, but is stopped by a really badly executed Singapore cane shot. Sandman and Balls double-suplex Lashley on the outside. After tossing him back in, they situate Bobby Lashley on the ropes in a slingshot position. Sandman does a leg drop to a dangling Lashley for a one count. Dreamer yells for Sandman to get the tables in true Dudley fashion to absolutely no pop. Sandman brings in a table and sets it up in the corner. Meanwhile, Dreamer holds Lashley for Balls to nail him with a chair, only for Lashley to duck and Dreamer to get nailed. Balls doesn't miss twice, however, as he takes down Lashley with another chair shot. He sets Lashley's head on another chair and goes up top for another leg drop. Lashley moves, stands up, and gives Sandman a spinebuster through the table. He rebounds with a spear on the recovering Balls and gets the three count.

Afterwards, Lashley goes up to the stage and poses right in front of McMahon with the belt. McMahon just stares off into space without even acknowledging Lashley.

Kevin Thorn vs. Stevie Richards: Thorn starts off strong, backing Stevie into the corner and laying some boot shots in. He goes for an Irish whip, but Stevie reverses it and catches Thorn with some forearms to the face. Thorn tries to regain some ground and charges at Stevie, who uses the momentum against him and tosses Thorn out of the ring. He goes for a plancha from the ring apron, but Thorn catches him and guillotines him across the barricade. Back in the ring, Thorn works Stevie over with a lot of punches and boots, a rest hold or two, and another guillotine across the top rope this time for a two count. Thorn misses a running boot in the corner and Stevie punishes him for it with a stiff kick to the side. Stevie is able to knock Thorn so he's on his knees with his arms and head hanging over the second rope. Stevie delivers a dropkick to the back for a two count. Thorn fights back and sets Stevie up for Original Sin, but Stevie slips out and tries to go to the top. Thorn crotches him and hits the Original Sin for the three.

Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von vs. The Major Brothers: Brian and Cor Von start things off with Cor Von going on the offensive early. Brian is able to counter and begins working over Cor Von's arm. Frequent tags are made between the two Major brothers as they jump off the top and drop and elbow across an arm lock. Cor Von is able to tag Burke in, but Burke is double-teamed by the Majors who meet him with a double leap frog into a double arm flip. Brian leaves the ring and Burke regains control over Brett. Cor Von is tagged in and from here, it's the standard face in peril being worked over by the heels hitting all their usual offense. Undeserved boring chants are audible from the crowd. Eventually, Brett reverses an abdominal stretch and makes the hot tag. Brian cleans house and gets several a couple of near falls on Burke. He tries to roll up Burke from behind, but Cor Von makes a blind tag and nails Brian with a big boot. He picks him up, hits the Pounce and it's over.

CM Punk vs. Matt Striker: Striker cuts a promo beforehand saying that people look up to Punk, but after this match, they'll be looking up to Striker. And we're underway. Punk gets an early advantage and nails a dropkick followed up by a seated dropkick for a two count. Striker takes over and nails a clothesline to the back of Punk's head, followed by a back body drop. Striker goes for a Single-Leg Crab, but Punk reverses it into a Small Package for a one count. Punk attempts the GTS, but Striker sends him back to the mat with a clothesline. He nails him with a nice neckbreaker from the position that Kevin Thorn uses for Original Sin. After some struggling and a big splash, Striker finally gets the Half Crab. Punk reaches the ropes. Striker pulls him back to the center of the ring and goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Punk reverses into a Victory Roll for a two count. Punk regains control and nails every strike combo he knows. He hits the high knee/bulldog combo. He calls for the GTS to absolutely no pop. He gets Striker up, but Striker does him damnedest to get out and goes for a neckbreaker. Punk then reverses that and ends up nailing the GTS this time. And it's enough to keep Striker down for the three.

We open with a shot of the WWE headquarters with the WWE flag flying at half-mast. In the arena, Joey Styles and Tazz are standing at ringside speaking into microphones. They introduce a replay of the entire ending sequence from RAW, starting with McMahon walking to the ring and ending with the explosion. Back in the arena, our two commentators announce that each match will be in memory of McMahon. A ten-bell salute is given and booed heavily by the crowd. Back at the commentator's booth, Styles and Tazz makes comments about how the crowd is being disrespectful.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Balls Mahoney - Extreme Rules: Why two guys who were tagging with each other last week are fighting this week without any reason is beyond me, but unsurprising. Anyway, the two ECW originals start off with chain wrestling in the old ECW city. The match quickly devolves into a fist fight with Balls getting the upper hand and nailing a back drop driver. Balls tries a cross body block, but Dreamer ducks it and Balls is sent to the outside. Outside the ring, Dreamer finds an assortment of weapons and goes to town on Balls with, literally, the kitchen sink. He tries to whip Balls into the stairs, but it's reversed. Now back in the ring, Balls tries his hand at the trash can lid shot, which he hits multiple times. Tommy is able to fight back and nails Balls with three stiff shots from a trash can. Tommy sets up a chair and goes for a DDT on it, but Balls reverses it into a drop toe onto the chair. Balls starts going to the top, but Dreamer recovers and crotches Balls on the top rope. He leaves the ring and brings in a table. While trying to set it up, one side's legs snap and the table is only half in the air. Balls attacks Dreamer from behind and rests Dreamer's head on the busted table. Balls heads to the top and goes for a leg drop, but Dreamer moves and Balls goes ass-first through the table. Dreamer picks him up and nails the DDT on the chair for the victory. The two shake hands afterwards.

Matt Striker vs. The Boogeyman: Striker is already in the ring. The Boogeyman comes out to the ring in his usual jovial perverse way. The match starts off with Boogey going for an arm wrench. He punches Striker and chops him and clotheslines him and the crowd is already chanting boring and this is going to go on for another five minutes? Striker is sent to the ring, selling Boogey's offense like the trooper he is. Boogey gives chase, but Striker rolls back into the ring and catches Boogey on re-entry. After some weak offense and a one count, Boogey begins to Hulk up in his own unique way. He goes back on the attack, punches Striker, clotheslines him in the corner, then nails the Choke Bomb for the three count. We get the worm spot afterwards.

Chris Benoit & CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke & Marcus Cor Von: Punk and Cor Von start things off with Punk quickly gaining control utilizing the side headlock takedown. Cor Von powers out of it and throws in one of his own. Punk manages to whip him against the ropes, but is shoulder blocked to the mat for his troubles. Punk gets back up and throws an arm drag, but Cor Von gets up immediately and wails on Punk. Burke tags in and goes right for the arm of Punk. Punk is able to reverse it into a fireman's carry takedown and tags in Benoit. Benoit lives up to his moniker of Rabid Wolverine and attacks Burke half-speed. He hits a snap suplex, but Burke is able to make the tag. Benoit and Cor Von go punch for punch, kick for kick for about a minute or so with Cor Von coming out on top. Eventually, Benoit is able to make the tag as well, and Punk hits his springboard clothesline from the apron. He cleans house, hits the high knee/bulldog combo on Burke and the heels retreat for a moment. Burke is now back in control of things, keeping Punk grounded with a headlock. The heels work over Punk for a few minutes, but it feels much longer. Punk is able to mount some offense against Cor Von and goes for the ten punch in the corner, but is caught with a powerbomb into a slingshot. Cor Von tags in Burke. The two heels double-team while Benoit stands in his corner. Cor Von won't leave by the count of five and the team is abruptly DQ'd.

Chris Benoit vs. Elijah Burke: Match starts off technical, a lot of mat wrestling. Benoit counters for a Northern Lights suplex, 2 count on Burke. Burke drops Benoits ribs on the ropes, knocks him to the floor. Benoit back in the ring, 1 count by Burke. Benoit hits his trio of german suplexes. Benoit goes up top for the headbutt, Burke puts his knees up and smashes Benoit's face. Burke gets a 2 count. Benoit counters a suplex and tries for a Sharpshooter but Burke breaks it. Benoit avoids the Elijah Express and locks the Sharpshooter again. Burke taps out and Benoit advances to Vengeance. After the match, Benoit walks up to the ECW title which is on display at ringside, stares at it and walks away holding his ribs.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Kevin Thorn: Thorn attacks Dreamer as soon as the bell rings, they go back and forth. Thorn starts to dominate Dreamer and has him on the mat stomping on him, concentrating on Dreamer's neck. The crowd chants "We want tables." Thorn counters Dreamer's DDT, but Dreamer hits a powerbomb for a 2 count. Thorn knocks Dreamer off the top rope and the ECW original is holding his ankle in pain. Thorn covers him for the 3 count and the win.

Johnny Nitro vs. Nunzio: Nitro knocks him out with a sick kick early on but only gets a 2 count. Styles and Tazz are pushing Nitro, hyping him up. Nitro dominates the match but only gets 2 counts. Nitro hits his finisher for the win.

Marcus Cor Von vs. CM Punk: Cor Von starts off the match in control. Punk hits a cross body for a 2 count. Arm bar takedown by Punk. The match goes back and forth with many good holds and counters. Cor Von catches Punk in mid air and slams him for a 2 count. Out of no where, Punk hits the GTS on Cor Von for the win and the match at Vengeance. Chris Benoit comes to the ring and he and CM Punk get in each others face and stare down. Benoit extends his hand and Punk shakes it. The ECW title is shown at ringside as they plug the PPV this weekend and ECW goes off the air

We open with Vince McMahon addressing the tribute show from last night. He didn't apologize for it, but he did say that in light of the new information we have, Benoit's name will not be mentioned outside of his comments here. He said this is a healing process and dedicated tonight's ECW to the surviving Benoit family. On a brief aside, Vince and company have handled this whole thing absolutely perfectly and professionally. They did the right thing here.

John Cena vs. Johnny Nitro - Champion vs. Champion Match: Cena starts out with a side headlock takedown. He works it over for a minute or two before being whipped out of it. Nitro comes charging, only to meet a drop toehold and an attempted STFU. Nitro reaches the ropes and Cena breaks. Nitro tries his best to mount some offense, but Cena nails the Fisherman Suplex of Doom and a spin-out sidewalk slam for a pair of two counts. Cena goes for his patented shoulder block, only to have Nitro duck it, sending Cena out of the ring. It's hard to tell what he was hard to tell what he was doing on the outside because I couldn't see him. That is to say, they kept the camera on Nitro, who waits for Cena's return. He lays into Cena with some pretty stiff shots and goes for a pinfall or two. Cena tries to mount some offense, but is met with a stiff clothesline from Nitro. Nitro attempts a superplex, but Cena manages to push him off. Nitro immediately rebounds and dropkicks Cena off the top to the floor. Nitro drags him back in to pin, but only gets a two count. Nitro lays some more fists into him, but Cena will have none of it as he Hulks up in his own special way. He eventually fights back and manages to hit the spin-out powerbomb and Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Cena goes for the FU, but Nitro manages to get out of it and nails the springboard roundhouse. Cena gets in position and puts his hands up to block it too early and the move looked incredibly fake as a result. Nitro hits the atomic drop/flapjack for a near fall. He slaps on a sleeper hold. Cena manages to back Nitro into the corner and climbs to the top. He nails the top rope Fameasser, and slaps on the STFU. Johnny Nitro has no option but to tap out and Cena has won the Champion vs. Champion match.

Roddy Piper comes out to a big pop. He cuts a promo on ECW and puts himself and his past experiences with hardcore happenings over until Matt Striker interrupts with a stage hand carrying a birthday cake. He gets on the mic and says it's his birthday. He makes fun of Piper for being old, but in all sincerity, wants Piper to celebrate with him. Piper obliges and will sing for "Mark." Striker reminds him his name is Matt. "Let's sing to Mark!" Piper leads the crowd in a chorus of "Happy Birthday." When he gets to the, "Happy birthday dear..." part, he stops and asks Striker what his name was again. Frustrated, Striker says his name, only to get cut off with a cake to the face. Piper finishes his song in grandiose fashion as Striker is left in the ring with pie all over his face. Suddenly, all too familiar music begins to play as the Boogeyman appears on the scene. Striker bolts, but is tossed back in by Piper. Boogey nails the choke bomb and Striker gets worm tortured once again.

Nitro is shown backstage. Styles asks him if his loss against Cena will slow him down any. Nitro blames a cold for his loss and says that he'll be keeping his eye on Punk and Burke tonight, as they square off for the number one contender's spot.

Elijah Burke vs. CM Punk - Two out of Three Falls Match for the Number One Contender's Spot: There was a lot of back and forth action with some decent spots. Burke took the first fall after nailing the Elijah Express while Punk was crotched and fell into a reverse Tree of Woe. Punk was able to squeak out with the second fall after reversing Burke's apron suplex attempt into a roll-up for the three. Eventually, the two began the same series of chain wrestling pinning combos I saw Benoit and Malenko do on the tribute show two nights ago and at Hog Wild eleven years ago. Except when Burke bridged and went for the backslide, Punk was able to hoist him up and hit the GTS for the three. CM Punk is now your new number one contender.

Next was the match at Vengance for the vacated ECW title when Johnny Nitro d. CM Punk for the title

Next up is CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorn. Punk won with the Oklahoma Roll. After the match, Nitro came out and teased that he was going to get in the ring but did not.

Matt Striker's old classroom set was in the ring, and Striker brought out his "worst student", the Boogeyman. Striker said normally a student brings a gift for the teacher, but he has a gift for Boogeyman. Striker revealed a fishbowl filled with worms. Boogey reached in and stuck a handful in his mouth. Striker said Boogey has been giving him "lessons in worms" and we saw how Boogeyman "wormed" Striker two weeks ago. Striker said that worms are hermaphadites, as Boogey had another mouthful. Striker tried to explain the Boogey what exactly he was putting in his mouth all the time. Striker said worms are cold-blooded and so is Boogey's actions towards him recently. Striker said it all stops now, and out came Viscera. Without a shirt. Vis has lost weight, but not that much. Striker introduced him as "Big Daddy V". Boogey lunged at Striker, but Viscera slammed Boogey on Striker's desk, which didn't break. Big Daddy V then threw him into the chalkboard twice, breaking it the second time. Boogey fell to the floor, and Striker and Big Daddy V stood triumphant.

A Triple H promo video aired.

Elijah Burke vs. Balls Mahoney: Burke hit some knees to the gut and head at the start, then worked over Balls in a corner with forearms. Burke missed a shot and Balls hit a series of punches, with the fans chanting along. Balls missed the big wind-up punch, and Elijah downed Balls with some quick punches. Burke went for his towel, but the referee took it from him. While the referee discarded the towel, Burke choked Balls. Burke elevated himself in the corner for a drop down elbow on Balls for a two count. Burke applied a Cobra Clutch, but Balls got to his feet and punched out of it. Balls hit a pair of clothesline, then hit a series of lefts. Balls hit the wind-up punch this time, then slammed Burke. Balls went to the top rope, but missed the legdrop. Elijah pulled down the knee pads and hit the Elijah Express to Mahoney's chest and got the pin at the three minute mark. Winner: Elijah Burke

They showed a video package on Tommy Dreamer, comprised entirely of footage from the original ECW, putting over that Dreamer was the "heart and soul" of the original ECW.

CM Punk was shown heading to the ring.

CM Punk vs. Stevie Richards: Punk grabbed a headlock at the start, then hit a shoulderblock when Richards shoved him off. They traded armdrags and legsweeps, then Punk hit a shot to the gut and a neckbreaker. Johnny Nitro was shown watching a monitor in the back. Punk hit a kick to the back of the leg, then hit an enzugiri for a two count. Punk slammed Richards and delivered a legdrop for a one count. Punk applied a chinlock, and when Richards stood up in it, Punk hit a forearm to the chest to knock him down. Punk went for a slam, but Richards floated over it and hit some kicks to the back, including a kick to the back of the head for a two count. Richards scored another two count with a neckbreaker and applied a chinlock. Richards went for a kick, but Punk caught it and locked on a leglace. Richards used his free leg to kick out of it. Richards grabbed a front facelock, but Punk punched out of it and hit a back suplex. Punk applied a single leg crab, but Richards rolled through it and tried to kick free. Punk grabbed the other leg and catapulted Richards into the corner. Punk hit a jumping knee to the back of the head, then one to the front of the head. Punk then hit a bulldog for a two count. Punk hit a double underhook backbreaker for a two count. Punk went for a clothesline, but Richards blocked it and hit a faceplant, then applied a variation of the Koji Clutch. Punk struggled in the hold, then got his foot on the ropes. Richards went for a tornado DDT off the middle rope, but Punk pulled Richards off the ropes into a fireman's carry and hit the Go To Sleep for the win at the seven minute mark. 6-0. Winner: CM Punk Punk gestured that he wants the ECW Title.

Backstage, The Miz was talking to Kelly Kelly. Brooke showed up and asked Kelly to introduce them. Miz introduced himself to Brooke. Layla was there and said hello as well. Miz left to get ready for his match, and Layla made fun of Brooke for having a crush on Miz, as she remarked how cute he is.

The Miz vs. Nunzio:n Extreme Expose was watching on a monitor in the back. Miz and Nunzio traded waistlocks and reversals on the mat. Miz hit a walking the ropes side mare to take Nunzio to the mat. Nunzio used knees to the gut to get out of the headlock and hit some forearms and kicks. Miz reversed a whip, hit a backdrop and a dropkick (sort of). Guido hit a double boot on a charging Miz from the corner, then stood on the back of his head and choked him on the bottom rope. Nunzio applied a rear chinlock, but Miz fought out of it. Nunzio hit a suplex then applied a headscissors. Nunzio switched into a chinlock chant, and there was actually a "Guido" chant from some fans. Miz broke out and hit some forearms, then a pair of flying forearms. Nunzio went for a whip in the corner, but Nunzio jumped onto the second rope and hit a clothesline. Miz hit a Rocker Dropper, with some difficulty, for a two count. Miz drove Nunzio's head into his knee, then hit a neckbreaker, which Joey called the Mizard Of Oz, for the pin at the six minute mark. Winner: The Miz.

    Extreme Expose danced.

They recapped the opening segment with Matt Striker, Boogeyman and Big Daddy V.

ECW Champion Johnny Nitro vs. Tommy Dreamer - Extreme Rules Tommy Dreamer came to the ring with a shopping cart full of weapons before the commercial break. After the break, Johnny Nitro made his entrance, as Dreamer spread the weapons all over the ring. Dreamer swung a Singapore cane at Nitro as he got on the apron, and Nitro jumped to the floor. Dreamer went to the outside as Nitro was taking off his coat and attacked him. They brawled in the aisle, with Nitro getting the better of it. Nitro slid into the ring and began tossing most of the weapons out. Nitro grabbed a crutch, but missed with it and Dreamer hit some punches and a hiptoss. Dreamer picked up the crutch and hit Nitro across the back with it. Dreamer hit Nitro in the leg with the crutch, then brought it down across Nitro's knee. Dreamer applied a Texas Cloverleaf variation, and Nitro made the ropes, but the referee told Nitro it was Extreme Rules, so there was no break. Dreamer let go of the hold and went for a weapon, but Nitro cut him off and threw him into a corner. Nitro twisted Dreamer's arm and flipped him to the mat, then hit him across the back with the crutch. Nitro broke the crutch across Dreamer's arm, then kicked it. The announcers put over that Nitro had hurt Dreamer's arm last week in their singles match. Nitro hit a series of kicked to the arm, but Dreamer finally caught one, picked up Nitro and hit a fallaway slam. Dreamer clothesline Nitro over the top rope and to the floor, but Nitro hit him with a street sign. Nitro hit a slingshot kick to knick Dreamer to the floor. Nitro put a chair around the neck of Dreamer and rammed him into the ringpost. Nitro got on the security wall and hit a corkscrew moonsault on Dreamer on the floor. Nitro covered Dreamer on the floor for a two count. Nitro and Dreamer made it back into the ring, and Nitro continued to attack the arm of Dreamer. Nitro got on the second rope, but Dreamer slammed him off. Nitro fought back with forearms and elbows, but when he charged Dreamer in a corner, Dreamer lifted him and crotched him on the top rope. Dreamer hit a pair of trashcan lid shots on Nitro. Dreamer put the lid on the top turnbuckle, then dropped Nitro headfirst on it. Dreamer hit a reverse DDT for a two count. Dreamer went for a trashcan lid elbowdrop off the second rope, but Nitro moved out of the way. Nitro hit Dreamer with the lid and went to the top rope, but Dreamer hit him with the lid, crotching Nitro on the top rope. Dreamer put a trash can on the head and body of Nitro, and hung him in the Tree Of Woe. Dreamer hit a baseball slide dropkick, crushing the can on Nitro. Dreamer set up a trash can and a chair in a corner. Nitro reversed a whip, but Dreamer stopped himself and lifted Nitro for a slam. Nitro floated out of the slam and went for a kick, but Dreamer blocked it. Nitro caught Dreamer with a drop toe hold, and Dreamer went into the trash can and chair. Nitro got the pin at the nine minute mark. Winner: Johnny Nitro. Nitro walked off with the belt to end the show.

They open the show with random men standing around outside of Johnny Nitro's locker room for a press conference. Someone emerged from Nitro's locker room and said tonight will be the last night Nitro will be on ECW TV. He said Nitro will answer everyone's questions later tonight. Cue crosstalk.

C.M. Punk came out as Joey Styles and Tazz talked about the Nitro vs. Punk title match at the PPV. Elijah Burke came out to face Punk instead of Marcus Cor Von, who didn't make the taping.

C.M. PUNK vs. ELIJAH BURKE: Burke talked trash before they locked up, then Punk got in his face as the fans chanted, "C-M-Punk". Punk took control early on, working on Burke's left arm and shoulder. Both men spilled to the floor after some slow-paced action, then they cut to a break. Back from break, Burke dragged Punk to center ring and applied a half-crab/knee-bender. He pounded on Punk's lower back with successive forearm blows before going to a full Boston Crab. Punk bit his hand so as not to tap out, then he reached the bottom rope to break the hold. Punk fired back on Burke with roundhouse kick strikes, then Burke cut him off with a punch to the gut. Punk suddenly struck Burke with kicks while he was on the mat, then he reached his feet and ran over Burke with a clothesline. Punk made his comeback at 12:00 with more kicks to the sternum. First legit nearfall of the match following a kick that knocked Burke on his back. Punk suddenly caught Burke with a DDT for another nearfall. Burke surprised Punk with a German suplex for a nearfall, then he talked trash and landed right-arm clotheslines. Suddenly, Punk surprised Burke with the Go 2 Sleep for the pin and the win. They didn't even have his music cued up until a good 10 seconds after the pin.

They aired the Raw Rebound from last night's show, focusing on Cena vs. Lashley. They showed clips of Steve Austin, Batista, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, and JBL commenting on the match. They cleaned up the final segment between Cena and Lashley from last night to hammer home the key points that were overshadowed by horribly scripted promos.

Matt Striker came to the ring in a suit and tie. Striker, complete with wing-tipped hair, talked about giving The Boogeyman a lesson in redemption last week. They showed footage of Viscera debuting on ECW to KO Boogeyman. Striker welcomed out his redemption, Big Daddy V. Some dude was already in the ring to face V.

BIG DADDY V vs. TIM STORM: V approached Storm and ran him over with head butts before landing a charging splash in the corner. V with a Samoan Drop and Black Hole Slam for the win. White will have a few stories to tell at church on Sunday. Afterward, Striker did Vader's split-fingered "V" hand gesture in the camera. V repeated the hand signal.

The Miz was in the ring out of the break. He said he hates to admit it, but he's a chick magnet. Miz said women are all over him and he feels like every woman in the arena wants him. Maybe his charisma or personality, or his good looks. They cut to a random woman in the audience looking stunned. Perfect picture. He said three women are going to come out and surprise him with something. Extreme Expose came out as Joey talked about women being all over Miz at airports. They put Miz in a chair, then did a dance around him. Suddenly, they ripped off each other's shirts, revealing bikini tops. They took turns dancing near Miz's lap.

TOMMY DREAMER vs. KEVIN THORN: Thorn caught Dreamer's left arm across the top rope in the early going. He then worked on the body part Nitro took apart last week. Styles said Dreamer might be in serious pain, but he's not the type of guy to take a week off. The crowd suddenly became more interested in something else in the arena. Dreamer came back with a neckbreaker, while Tazz and Styles tried to paint this pretty picture of Dreamer relishing the opportunity to fight through pain associated with being a wrestler. Thorn went back to the left shoulder by ramming Dreamer shoulder-first into the corner ringpost. He then made a cover for the win. Afterward, Thorn gave Dreamer the Original Sin hanging neckbreaker off the ropes.

The P.R. guy spoke in center ring about Johnny Nitro. A graphic came on the screen saying the guy's name is Paul McBride, press agent. McBride said Nitro has changed his name. Nitro then walked out sporting fluffed out hair and a white jacket/leather pants combo. He said he came out to make a statement. His name is not Johnny Nitro. His name is John Morrison, his given name. Morrison listed his child prodigy accomplishments. He then addressed C.M. Punk. He asked what C.M. stands for. Chick Master. Chases Men. Cookie Monster. Common Man. Completely Miserable. He asked what a Punk is. Morrison said a punk is a disrespectful kid with lame tattoos. Punk's music cut off Morrison, then Punk walked out to the ring. Nitro cut him off and said this is a press conference, not a wrestling match. He said he won't place a finger on Punk until the Bash when he beats him senseless. Morrison then asked how he came up with the name. Punk smiled to the crowd as Morrison extended the mic, then he surprised Punk with a right hand blow to the face. Morrison then hit a corkscrew neckbreaker in center ring. The fans chanted for Punk as Morrison stood over Punk's fallen body. Styles plugged the Bash to close the show.

ECW kicked off with Ring announcer Justin Roberts reading a self-serving (and obviously self-written) introduction for "the face of Extreme", ECW Champion John Morrison. Morrison talked about how he was going to "make believers" out of the fans, then recited a poem about how CM Punk would now be "surrounded by darkness". Morrison said Punk would never get another title shot, and that he was "moving onwards and upwards".

Morrison said he was a fighting champion, and that he would give someone a chance to claim "15 minutes of fame". Morrison said if anyone could either beat him or last 15 minutes in a non-title match, he would grant them a title bout. Morrison said he had a tag match later on, but he ran into someone backstage that intimidated him and deserves a shot at "15 minutes of fame". Morrison said this person was from Fresno, California. A much smaller wrestler, who I assume is a local independent wrestler, came out. They started the clock, and Morrison gave him a headbutt. We never even heard what this guy's name was. Morrison took off his jacket, hit a corkscrew neckbreaker, and beat him in 34 seconds. Morrison got on the mic and said that he had tried his best, but he "couldn't get the job done". Morrison said that was his "brush with greatness" and walked off.

A Triple H promo aired. He's returning at Summerslam, in case you didn't know.

Kevin Thorn vs. Stevie Richards: The ring announcer calls him "Stevie". The trunks say "Stevie". The graphic says "Steven". Thorn kicked Richards in the gut and pounded him down, then whipped Richards into the turnbuckles. Thorn went for a backdrop, but Richards kicked Thorn, then kicked him in the leg, then dropkicked him in the face. Thorn rolled outside to regroup. Thorn got on the apron and Richards shoulderblocked him to the floor. Richards got out on the apron and Thorn knocked out his legs, sending Richards crashing to the floor. Thorn threw Richards back into the ring and put him in a over-the-shoulder backbreaker, then dropped down to his knees. Thorn slammed Richards, then picked him up and slammed him again. Thorn dropped an elbow to the lower back for a one count. Richards tried to fight back with punches, but Thorn hit a knee to the gut and pounded Richards in a corner. Richards hit a pair of kicks to the gut, then some kicks to the leg. Thorn then caught a kick and hit a spinebuster, but Richards got his shoulder up at two. Thorn sat Richards on the top turnbuckle, then went for a Razor's Edge, but Stevie slipped out of it and grabbed a backslide for the three count at the four minute mark. Winner: Stevie Richards.

The Miz vs. Nunzio: They traded waistlocks and headlocks at the start, then Miz hit a shoulderblock, but Nunzio swept the leg for a two count. Miz came back with a knee to the gut and a stomp, but Nunzio tripped him with a drop toe hold. Miz ran out of the ring, but Nunzio gave chase. Miz got in the ring, but Nunzio hit a shoulderblock from the apron and a top rope bodypress for a two count. Nunzio missed an avalanche in the corner and got hung up on the top rope, and Miz kicked him in the gut. Miz got a two count, then hit some knees to the gut. Miz hit a clothesline in the corner for a two count. Miz applied a bodyscissors with a chinlock. Nunzio bridged back in it for a two count. Miz hit some fists and forearms, then jumped off the second rope. Nunzio got his foot up, but Miz caught it and landed on his feet. Miz threw Nunzio's leg back, but Nunzio rolled to his feet and hit a series of forearms. Nunzio hit the Sicilian Slice, but Miz kicked out at two. Miz hit a legsweep into a faceplant. Miz then hit a kneelift into a neckbreaker for the pin at the three minute mark. Winner: The Miz. Miz said he had a surprise for Extreme Expose and invited them into the ring. He had them play music, and Miz danced with Extreme Expose. They then cut to Big Daddy V getting ready to wrestle. I'm not sure which visual was more disturbing, Miz' dancing or Big Daddy V with no shirt on.

Big Daddy V vs. Jimmy Cruz & Victor Delvino: They showed a clip of Big Daddy V laying out the Boogeyman two weeks ago. Matt Striker joined the announcers. We never found out who was who on the opposition, not that it mattered. Big Daddy V swatted both men around, then took down one of them with a side mare. V press slammed the other opponent, then flung him out of the ring. V hit the other man with some forearms and chops, then a planted him with a Samoan Drop. Big Daddy V scooped up the other man with one hand and threw him down. V piled them in a corner and hit an avalanche on them. Big Daddy V slammed one of them, then gave the other man a sidewalk slam, planting him on top of his partner for the win in two minutes. Winner: Big Daddy V.

John Morrison & Elijah Burke vs. CM Punk & Tommy Dreamer: Punk and Burke started, but Punk demanded that Morrison start the match with him. Morrison tagged in, but Burke took a swing at Punk from the apron, and that distracted him and allowed Morrison to get the upper hand at the beginning. Morrison took Punk down with a side mare and held a side headlock for a while, then hit some punches and tagged in Burke. Burke stomped Punk down in the corner, then hit a forearm to the back. Burke ran into a boot by Punk, then Punk hit some kicks to the legs. Burke reversed a whip, but missed a charge in the corner. Punk hit Morrison on the apron with a running boot, knocking him to the floor. Punk then backdropped Burke to the outside as well, and we went to commercial less than two minutes into the match. Back from the break, Punk gave Burke a leg lariat, then tagged in Dreamer. Punk gave Burke a drop toe hold and Dreamer delivered an elbow to the back for a two count. Dreamer hit a vertical suplex, then tagged in Punk, who hit a slingshot somersault senton for a two count. Dreamer tagged in and gave Burke a second rope elbow while Punk hit a side slam. There was an "ECW" chant for Dreamer. Buke hit some knees to the body and tagged in Morrison. Morrison went for a cross bodyblock, but Dreamer caught it and hit a fallaway slam. Dreamer gave Morrison a catapult into the turnbuckles for a two count. Dreamer gave Morrison a bulldog for a two count. Dreamer applied a Texas Cloverleaf, but Morrison made the ropes. Dreamer missed a charge in the corner and Morrison went to the ring apron. They exchanged blows, then Morrison slingshotted in over Dreamer and hit an enzugiri, then a dropkick for a two count. Burke tagged in and he and Morrison beat down Dreamer in their corner. Burke put Dreamer in a chinlock, but Dreamer got out with a jawbreaker. Burke stomped Dreamer in the head, then hit a running kick to the back of the head for a two count. Buke went back to the chinlock, saying he was going to break Dreamer's neck as he wrenched the hold in. Dreamer elbowed out, but Burke backed him into his corner. Dreamer tried to fight out, but Burke kicked him down, then hit an elevated elbow in the corner. Morrison was tagged in and pounded Dreamer with punches. Morrison applied a trapped arm headscissors, but Dreamer got up in the hold and gave Morrison an Electric Chair. Morrison tagged in Burke, who cut off Dreamer from making a tag. Burke rubbed Dreamer's face in the mat, then choked him against the middle rope. Burke hit a slingshot double axe handle to the back of Dreamer's head, which was on the ring apron. Morrison tagged in and hit a slingshot kick, knocking Dreamer from the apron to the floor. Morrison threw Dreamer back in the ring and applied a cobra clutch. Dreamer fought out of it, but Morrison slammed him. Morrison went to the top rope, but Dreamer crotched him and delivered a neckbreaker. Dreamer tagged in Punk, and Morrison dove to tag out to Burke. Punk hit Burke with an elbow, then gave Morrison, who had jumped to the floor to avoid Punk, a pescado. Punk hit Burke with a springboard clothesline, then delivered some kicks and an exploder suplex for a two count. Punk hit a jumping knee in the corner, then a bulldog. Morrison ran in and Punk gave him an enzugiri. Morrison rolled back out of the ring. Burke charged Punk, and Punk scooped him up in a fireman's carry and hit the GTS for the pin at the sixteen minute mark. Winners: CM Punk & Tommy Dreamer. Morrison grabbed his title belt and stared at Punk and Dreamer from the floor, then left while his partner was still down in the ring. He stared at Punk from the aisle, and Punk screamed that he wanted the belt as the show ended.

PHOENIX CM Punk has earned his 15 Minutes of Fame. On ECW on Sci Fi, Punk beat Elijah Burke and Tommy Dreamer in a Triple Threat Match to win a chance to get in the ring with ECW Champion John Morrison.

Next week on ECW, Punk will face Morrison in the ECW Champs 15 Minutes of Fame Challenge. If Punk either lasts 15 minutes in the ring with Morrison or beats him, Punk is entitled to a future opportunity at the ECW Championship.
