Facebook Style Chat On GridironFans.com?

    I am considering adding this as a feature on the site:

    In-page chat for your site - CometChat

    It's a facebook style IM application for people on the site. I'd like to limit it so only VIP members can be seen on the contact list and only VIP members use it.

    I'd love to have people test it out. You'd have to register at the forum over at CometChat: Comet Chat Forum - Powered by vBulletin

    Then add friends to your contacts over there to see them on your list (that how the default setup works).

    So if anyone's interested please help me out and give it a test drive. Let me know how you think it would work here on GIF. Thanks in advance!

    I've got it open now.

    You have to add the member as a friend before you can chat with them.

    So help me out...where do you actually go to use this feature? I'm not familiar with facebook, but if it is what I think it is, I like the idea. I'd also suggest that for something like this that you maybe raise the VIP post count higher than 500? That's just my opinion...

    I'd say 500 is reasonable, for people who just like to put insight in on news stories about their own team, that's not an easy goal to reach.

    lol, at least I'm not the only computer retrad :icon_cheesygrin:

    If you're loged in at the HP you'll see the "Who is online" spelling on the right side of the fooder. click on the icon next to it and you can see your friends.
