LMAO, I have never done fantasy before. So this guy I work with talks me into joining his league... and I finally cave... I haven't a clue where to start...then I read Mikes post and say what they hell, lets see what happens. So I take Mike's sheets top 100 or so and enter them into my draft order.. pick a couple of my own hunches and this is the message I get from the guy who talked me into joining the league in the first place. (after he sent me a text saying he had just picked up 4 starters???)

"I think you did damn good too. Me and my buddy (c****** c***) were talking and think you may be the one to beat."

Another season is nearly upon us and my free cheat sheets and ADP lists will be available once again. I should be ready to start kicking them out by the end of June.

I was wondering if anyone who got sheets from me last year could post some results.

I'm so excited for a new season of fantasy football.

I'd love to have some sheets once you start kicking them out again, Mike.

Thanks WR. Here's to another successful season. and SoDev, no problem, I'll repost the info that I need to make them soon. I just like to wait until there is a sizable amount of mock data to use for my ADP (average draft position) sheets as I find those extremely helpful in figuring where to try and target players in my drafts irregardless of where they are ranked. feel free to post your info at any time.

    DoubleC i'm ready now...

I think I'll request your sheets this year. I'll post my league information as soon as the scoring is definite.

no problem Double C and for those who are only looking at the last page, here is the first post again:

    Please provide the following info...

How many teams in your league? What is the Scoring? What are the rules that are not involved in scoring. i.e. starting lineup requirements, is there a flex position?

Is it a keeper league? If so, if you provide me with the teams and all keepers, I can supply custom sheets with those players removed.

Are you in an auction or salary cap league? I can supply lists with estimated values of players.

remember to include all scoring, ppr or no ppr, TD heavy or yardage heavy.

I also regularly read every newspaper from every football team and keep up to date depth charts for all offensive and IDP positions.

You may ask why are you doing this, well Basically I do this because when I first started out in fantasy football years ago, before the dawn of internet and in the days where fantasy commish's had to crunch box scores on Monday and Tuesday and argue with people on scoring corrections, I could never find lists that were well put together or they were in crapty magazines. Also, once the internet came out, everyone wanted to charge money for an opinion and that pissed me off, so i am doing this as a service to all those who happen to find this.

I was the runner-up in the league where I used your sheets last year. I only lost the championship game because it was held in week 17, and not 16 like it usually happens.

I might use them again this year.

    Thank you Mike

I used your cheat sheets last year and in three pay leagues I finished runner up twice and won the third league. I will be using your sheets again this year for sure. I won over $600 last year thanks to you!

Thanks Mike. I'm in your (K-Trains) league as far as scoring goes. I guess like you mentioned a few times here it'd be good to wait till after July 1 so we know every ones keepers. I'll hit you up then.

Yeah I think I finished third last year using your sheets and it was damn close to winning it all so yeah... Mike's sheets are good. I will send you league info again this year : D

    no problem brother.

  17. 12 team high performance non-keeper league. Start one QB, two RB, two WR one flex RB/WR/TE, one TE, one K, one Team D... All TD's 6 points with performance points for long TD's... usually 3-4 QB's gone in first two rounds. I almost would rather draft late this year unless I have pick one... I hate the mess of 2-8... Questions at every spot in my opinion... 14 years in ff.. ( i have two other leagues but this is my main league that I started...) First post ever here...
    thanks,
    Bill in Chandler

mike oxlong The Voice Of Reason

Carnal, First how many bench slots? and how do you like to stack those bench slots? do you prefer not to draft a backup TE, K, DEF?

Do you offer PPR? Specifically how many points per yards rushing/receiving/passing? ints thrown, fumbles lost, how does the performance scoring break down for long td's, i.e. 1 extra point for 50-59, 2 for 60-69, 3 for 70-79, 4 for 80-89, 5 for 90-99, 6 for 100+

Defensive scoring - points per sack/safety/int/FF/F recov/how does your league do scoring against i/e/ shutout = ??pts, 2-6 pts given up = ??pts

    kick scoring I assume is 3 for under 40, 4 for 40-49 and 5 for over 50

Any and all scoring or special rules helps me to create your list that is specific to your league rules.

  19. Mike,
I have 8 bench slots... I like to have one decent b/u QB and I usually use the rest for RB/WR depending on value of the pick... I drop add or trade usually to cover byes for the K/D/TE... (don't draft a bu 99% of the time...)
    D-starts with 20 points and loses points as teams score and gain yards; 6 for DTD; 6 for safety;2 for INT/FR/SACK;
    K yes
No special teams points for returns of any kind...
Again, QB's go quickly largely i think because they score 6 pts as well...
    Thanks again!!

the thing with QB's even in a 6pt per pass td league is that there are so many of them compared to how many players are available at the other positions. with each team starting 2-3 RB's and 12 teams that's up to 36 RB's starting in your league with only 32 teams to choose from. Where there are only 12 starting QB's, even with backup QB's on your leagues fantasy roster, there are still going to be starters on the WW. Combine that with the fact that the drop in point scoring from the higher tiers of QB to lower tiers of QB's is not nearly as great as the drop from higher tiers in other positions, I just don't agree with targeting a QB early, unless you can get a brees or brady in the third, which is unlikely given their ADP. I always want the best position players before my QB unless like I stated above, the top QB falls a round or 2. The only time I would consider a QB high is if the league starts 2 QB's or you have some scoring like point per completion.

What kind of excel do you use? I have office 2007 (vista), so let me know if you need the files saved in an earlier version of excel.

send me your email so I know where to send the sheets and ask any other questions I may have after I start to break down everything you have supplied already
