Dude was drafted to replace Alex eventually, and I'm sure that if Harbaugh/Baalke weren't comfortable with the idea of him being the starter, they never would have let things get to a position where he might have to be. Harbaugh and Roman turned crapty butt Alex Smith into a viable starter last year, if they are okay with the idea of Kaepernick starting then I trust that. It's not like Alex was anything special, unless Kaepernick fails completely I dont think he should have any problem matching or bettering Alexes production last year, especially with the new faces in the WR corps. We aren't talking about replacing Tom Brady here.
