Eli has been bad this season but generally so has the entire giants team. Its pretty shocking that they are 0-6

Agreed 100% because if you look at this team on paper, this is not a bad football team but paper doesn't win football games.

So we both agree that Eli will never be out of big brother's shadow?

Well he has more rings, but when they're both done, no one can ever argue that Eli was the better quarterback.

eli's ability to step up his game whenever they've been in the playoffs is the only thing that even makes this a reasonable debate. Peyton is obviously the better regular season QB...... Maybe the best regular season QB the league has ever seen.......... however, he has seemed to come back down to earth in the playoffs, whereas Eli plays better in January and February. that's the only thing that even makes it a discussion point but anyone in their right mind would still take Peyton.

That "playoff criticism" of Peyton is a joke...what about the other 52 players on his teams? That criticism of Peyton is a stretch if anything. You'd be INSANE not to take Peyton 100 out of 100 times in the playoffs/Super Bowl with the game on the line. Lol.

I'm just happy that the Giants fans are quiet and not talking about how good Elisha is.

well, i'm not sure i agree 100% that the playoff criticism is a joke or a stretch. he has turned in some real stinkers in the playoffs through the years. He seems to be doing better in the playoffs later in his career though.

One thing I would like to remind, though, is that Peyton was not dominant by any means during the year of his SB win. that colts team won with defense and ball control offense so you can't entirely throw his teammates under the bus.

And you can't throw Peyton under the bus for times they didn't make the Super Bowl.

    this

And is this really a Peyton/Eli "debate? Super Bowl rings is the primary barometer as to who's better? Then should neither win another ring, Eli is by far the better of the two and Peyton can go down in history as being just as good as Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams.

Except for his rookie season when he threw 28 picks, Peyton hasn't even come close to putting up the kind of horrid numbers that his brother is tacking on week after week this year. Eli keeps up this torrid pace and he just may have 40 picks by season's end. Eli can't carry his brother's jockstrap.
