I rewatched the game last night. Man this shouldn't have even been a 17 point game. The blown fumble led to 7 points for the Pack and the roughing the the passer call on Osi, which wasnt roughing the passer, led to 7 points. Should have been more like to 37-6, assuming the Giants don't score.
Good win for a team that has been average at best this season. Lol. Watched most of the game at the Borgata in Jersey before the comedy show last night. Good New York crowd and made the comedy show better with a good crowd. Actually found myself rooting for the Giants at one point. Still think they are over achieving though...
the packers, no doubt, were 'off' yesterday ............ dropping passes, giving lackluster effort, etc. After sleeping on it, I think the crap that happened with Philbin had an effect on this team ........... they just really didn't seem into it at all.
I don't want to speak for Ward but I think Ward's comments regarding the Giants having 'no' chance were made tongue-in-cheek .......... I sensed some sarcasm in his posts.
His comments in my sig to me says otherwise..........serious or not............still sensed some doubt.
Overachieving how? They are finally healthy and the defense is playing like it was designed to do....rush the passer. if they had no talent on that team that would be overachieving. The Giants have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, that's not even up for debate.
Or how about they were just out played in every aspect of the game. The drops accounted for stalled drives in the first half. What about the second half. The giants had to overcome a non roughing the passer call on Eli, a bullcrap roughing the passer call on Osi and a missed fumble call. That adds up to a 14 point swing and the Giants still overcame that and still blew the doors off the packers on the road. I don't think the OCs sons death had an effect on the game. It's mike McCarthy's offense.
Nice excuse, but I don't think that's the reason. I remember another player from GB, who had a record game, after his father died... IMO, they became cocky, like they was at KC
I think the biggest factor in this was that Rodgers hadn't played a game in 3 weeks. He looked out of sync with his receivers the whole game. We always hear about how important timing and rhythm are in this game, then the top teams go and sit their best guys for a month. It's stupid.
